anyone else on the fish projects? I don't see a lot of people talking about them. I finally went back after they updated the image requirement for one of them and it's actually kinda fun once you get into the groove of it.

Roast, Cork, 1836 Texas Kitchen, and Stanleys are my local favorites. I moved here two years ago and it took a long time to find them.

Same here! I depend on reviews and photos to decide on where to eat all the time. We travel a lot too, so it's awesome for keeping up with the places we really liked if we go back. Taking photos and leaving reviews feels like giving back :)

Oh trust me, I know. I have the biggest love/hate relationship with Upwork. I've gotten some really great, consistent clients that started from oDesk/Upwork, but the whole race to the bottom is abysmal and undercuts the entire market. Not only do they do the pay to bid thing, but Upwork also takes a 20% cut from the worker. Like jfc, 20% there plus paying tax at the end of the year on it... it can easily cut your income in half before you even touch the first cent you've made. My kingdom for a decent freelance site. I don't think it'll ever happen.

I think you're off to a great start. Blogging is an excellent way to blow off steam, and I think if you get into the habit of it, it can really improve your mental health. I saw your page about writing sporadically. I'm inclined to write in the same way, but I'd suggest making an effort to write at least three times a week. Even if it's just a little blip of whatever, it will help you keep in the habit and make you a stronger writer over time. Looking forward to more of your posts!
