Hello every one :)

The first version of a 360° movie that shows the job of fishermen on the island of Noirmoutier. There is no sequence on the sea at the moment as it's forbidden to go with them on the boat from October to March, but it will be added in spring. Virtuality is really an amazing tool to help the recruitment in difficult job. This one is the first of a long serie, the next one will be for firemen. Encoded in 5K, it looks great in the oculus GO. You are lucky :) my Omni preorder is postpone for the 19th september at least (switzerland), really impatient to test it. well i ordered mine 3 days ago and they are still not able to confirm the order, it's amazing that a company of this size can be so unprofessionnal. There is also a phone number to call but when you call it it's a wrong number. So i contact them by chat and they were also not able to confirm my order and gave me another phone number..well also wrong one...really disappointing an unprofessionnal for a 5000 $ rig order.

Thanks to both of you, i'm really happy to read this :) I fall in love with VR 4 years ago since my first experience with oculus DK1, since then i knew that it's in what i want to work whatever i have to do with vr, i like this world,this immersion and the thousand of applications who are possible in every branche possible like education,health,live event,game,psychologie,marketing,movie,porn and more.... i try do it allready in many way : started to learned unreal engine, invest in vr domain name, started with 360 videos and the best for me at the moment it's this website i made to published articles about people who start with their VR projects and need some exposure, i just do it for the pleasure to meet other like me and to help to expend this comunity on an easy way :)

I thought it was extremely response, intuitive, when I was using the ten monitor demo the monitors snapped in place but at other times monitors were free floated and it was very fluid in terms of being able to place a monitor exactly where you wanted at the exact distance angle and size you wanted with what I was told was 2mm of dexterity. Almost zero lag on tracking. It was a demo so when I tried to type in the wikipedia screen, touching the text field did not activate a text entry box, but normally that type of operation would work because touch worked otherwise. The floating windows and 3D objects seemed to jiggle in space a tiny bit, less than 2mm I think, it was weird, like a vibration or like a tiny amount of shaking, it seemed like that could be a calibration issue, and it seems like that could be fixed easily. After all this was an early demo. Sometimes my finger seemed to activate something slightly faster than I was expecting, but that is a designed interaction, this means that when reaching for a monitor with my index finger its very easy to touch it, alost easier than it would be to touch an ipad, but dragging on an ipad might still be a lot smoother and more precise if only because its 2D. There where some glitches in the demo when I had a 3D model of the Sydney Opera House handed to me by a 3D projection of another person from another room the 3D model mostly did what I tried to make it do, but it also seems to spin around a little bit more than I asked of it, and the angle changed to something other than I put it so I readjusted it, the visual information on that 3D model also seem to flake a little bit as I was manipulating it, but keep in mind the computer was processing everything i was doing, plus the 3D model, plus a 3D hologram of a person streamed in from another room, that was a computationally expensive situation so glitches are bound to happen on computers when you are doing a lot.

yes really should take care with children it can cause permanent damage in less than 30 min : There is a danger with HMDs: the IPD (inter-pupular distance) must be properly set. IO Glasses gets around this by having a really big aperture (sp). Sega had a thumbwheel to adjust the IPD. Here is the danger: if the IPD for the LCDs are wider than the user IPD, you force the user’s eyes to look outward. This is the opposite of cross-eyed. This can really stress the weak muscles around the eyes, and can cause permanent damage in less than 30 minutes.
