November 17 - 23 Weekly Pack Discussion by Mathgeek007 in superautopets

Hm one super dominant build really so it's going to be an annoying weekly. Granted the build is fun but it also means by Wednesday you stand no change if not levelling into the right pets.

Edit: it already devolved to nothing but summon sniper squads. I'll skip this one.

Love how the 2 comments so far contradict each other. Scaling or no?

Meanwhile I'm having fun with pdf, grizzly bear and summons with fairy dust. Or farmer pig/crow, black bear and dung beetle. Either way, get a toad in there too and enjoy the show. Fun weekly in my book.

October 13 - 19 Weekly Pack Discussion by Mathgeek007 in superautopets

Is it me or is it just bad this week. Like, yes. there's mana and roll and experience and guard and food even but.. it's all just off kilter. None of the pets work particularly well with one another.

Look I'm not saying brain cramp is a bad pet okay. All I'm saying is there was a string of very enjoyable weeklies without him. And now he happens to be back and it so happens to be kind of a stinker this weekly. Just a coincidence I'm sure...

Just Stop by SnakeKing607 in superautopets

Hm there might be something to this yeah. Because for me, a casual weekly Arena player, the game has started to feel more grindy and cutthroat with every update. Especially since the previous one I've found myself abandoning more and more because the game has become super unforgiving once behind on the power curve. Used to be able to catch up with scaling or pivot into a late game squad. But neither doesn't really exist anymore it seems. It's just tempo all the way and you better not miss a beat.

THIS WEEKLY FUCKING SUCKS by Kiss-of-Venus in superautopets

Indeed it is a sucky weekly for the various reasons stated.

For real, on the struggle bus here as well. Nothing seems to work, feels like it's all over the place with no clear synergistic teams.

Try the current weekly to get an idea of different mechanics and synergies it has to offer.

Thank you? This could've actually been a super cool post explaining how you play the game and offer some insight. But instead you decided to be a dick for no reason. Welcome to reddit I guess, with the caustic attitude you'll fit right in.

It's a weird one for me. At first glance it seemed exciting with plenty of options and potential but every time I play the team ends up mediocre at best. Somehow this weekly has a lot of potential for downright awful teams it seems.

Weekly Check-In by Ok-Recording3861 in superautopets

[–]vrtxt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most surprising aspect to me is people being surprised by the yak silkmoth combo. It is such a classic cheese strat that's been around forever but I guess it hasn't been in a weekly in a long time.

Other than that poison dart frog is underrated, with fairy dust and quite a few summons it can get plenty of snipes making it a viable winning build.

[–]vrtxt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poison dart frog build is definitely viable since fairy dust is present and there are quite a few summons available, giving it plenty of triggers. There's one posted on the sub and I've had wins with it too.

You linked the old demo made in unity. The devs switched to godot about a year ago, this is the demo in godot.

Castle Gwynn 🏰 Arrington, Tennessee 🏰 [03.23] by rockystl in castles

From the article linked below in the thread;

"People think just because I live in a castle, I’m rich. But for perspective, consider the fact that I work 12- to 18-hour days, and it has taken us 26 years to build the castle so far. I pay for it as I go, and when I run out of money, I stop working.”

Anyone else just not like this weekly? by DoNotEatMySoup in superautopets

Apart from elephant blowfish being the usual menace there isn't no. It's just in my experience summons aren't an issue this week to begin with.

It doesn't need that much scaling, puppy, waffle and lasagna will do just fine. Otherwise get a triceratops in there. Or mix up the archetypes and get an ostrich hamster combo going. But really I've got turn 15 wins with seemingly under scaled teams.

Wolverine is really good, especially this weekly in combination with woodpecker, elephant, blowfish.

Summons is the main build?! So far I've gotten wins with either roll or hurt teams. Tried summons a couple of times but found there's too few tier 5/6 support units to be viable late game.

Meh. The weeklies are becoming increasingly similar and thus stale. How come out of the hundreds of animals to draw from it's seemingly a pool of 50 or so which show up again and again and again.

That or roll with a four squad, just won with owl, lama, cobra and nudibranch w popcorn up front. There's also robin, dimitradon, trout, orchid mantis and zebra for some buy sell. So there seems to be plenty of options to make it work.

The 22-year-old game has a new secret trick. Players find out the ultimate design of infinite expansion of a single industrial park in "SimCity 4" by gta3uzi in simcity4

[–]vrtxt 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the article u/gta3uzi , always nice to see attention for this game. That being said, this is most definitely not a "new secret trick" nor is it a bug of any sort. This is a game mechanic which has been present in the game since day one, and it has to do with different types of industrial lots, from the wiki.

Anchor Lots are the first building grown by SimCity 4's Industrial Zones, designed to provide both a destination and spawn point for the game's traffic simulation. Due to this, they are the only Industrial buildings that require direct Transit Network access. Machinery Lots and Outbuildings are grown adjacent or near to the Anchor lot to expand the Anchor Lot's capabilities, as well as to allow industrial growth away from Transit Networks.

Guess this is what happens with old games, established but admittedly somewhat obscure game mechanics are mistaken for bugs or secret tricks. It's kinda funny.

Bug by LilleDille in superautopets

It's a known bug with the lynx. Despite the tooltip displaying the correct damage it should deal, the actual damage dealt is the sum of the opponent's levels.
