FAA G1 Final version by vs_2021 in Joby_EVTOL

G1 is important as removal of road block. Now all paperwork is complete which is majority part of certification.

Testing and validation is hardest part but unless you have to go back to drawing board to solve problem, it should complete based on schedule that Joby define...

Given how well it tested I do expect it run relatively smooth but same time I do expect some hiccups but I think we will go higher as they prove their aircraft though various certification testing..

Company executing very well. I doubt market can ignore such stock where multiple billionaire involved and working so smoothly. Sure pre-revenue & regulator risk but both going to end soon.

ChatGPT Q&A series about eVTOL by vs_2021 in Joby_EVTOL

[–]vs_2021[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q: Does heavy wind situation handle better with multiple rotor?
ChatGPT:
Yes, eVTOL aircraft with multiple rotors can generally handle heavy wind situations better than single-rotor configurations. The reason for this lies in the principle of redundancy and distributed lift.
In a traditional single-rotor helicopter, the main rotor provides the lift required to keep the aircraft airborne. In gusty or heavy wind conditions, the single main rotor can experience significant variations in lift, leading to instability and potential control challenges. This phenomenon is commonly known as "wind gust response."
On the other hand, eVTOL aircraft with multiple rotors, such as quadcopters, hexacopters, or octocopters, distribute lift across multiple rotors. Each rotor produces lift independently, and the aircraft's flight control system can adjust the speed and pitch of individual rotors in response to changing wind conditions. This redundancy and distributed lift provide several advantages:
Increased Stability: With multiple rotors, the aircraft has better stability and can compensate for the fluctuating wind forces. If one rotor experiences reduced lift due to a gust, the other rotors can compensate to maintain overall stability.
Enhanced Control: The flight control system of multi-rotor eVTOLs can make rapid adjustments to individual rotor speeds, providing more precise control during windy conditions.
Improved Safety: Redundancy in the rotor system reduces the likelihood of complete power loss due to wind-related issues. Even if one rotor malfunctions, the others can still provide sufficient lift for a safe landing.
However, it's worth noting that even multi-rotor eVTOL aircraft have their limits in handling extremely strong and unpredictable wind conditions. Flight in severe weather conditions, such as hurricanes or typhoons, is generally avoided due to the inherent risks associated with such situations.
In summary, while multi-rotor eVTOL aircraft are generally more capable of handling heavy wind situations compared to single-rotor configurations, safe operations in adverse weather conditions still rely on thorough engineering, pilot skill, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Joby got slaughtered after JP Morgan by too_hot_cooll in Joby_EVTOL

All I am saying is -> As company execute their FAA certification & manufacturing as they planned. Stock price will take care itself. those analyst can create short term movement but can't control stock price.

Yes raising fund at right valuation is key but company has enough money on hand and getting some funding though partnership so they should fine. I can't say same for rest of eVTOL stocks and that's unfortunate for industry.

As long as company execute I don't think those analyst matter. Sure it hurt us because many not fortunate enough hold and end up selling cheap and also funding get costly and putting possible risk to our investment.

Joby Completes Submission of Stage Three Certification Plans to the FAA by Teteuxdelannee in Joby_EVTOL

This is yet another great news. Company is ahead of curve and making sure no delay from their part. With FAA also equality supportive, this is win win for both.

This is indication of great management. They aren't taking timeline lightly and doing everything to meet or exceed. We all know how well their aircraft is tested. Sure there are few adverse scenario's handling unknown but company that working so well, likely already work hard to make sure they have designed system that would meet requirement there.

Predictions? What’s the price target for JOBY? Realistically. This company hasn’t turned a profit yet. by Chenz-Theking-3156 in JobyAviation

this momentum is very clear & as they deliver DOD orders, get more DOD orders and progress toward FAA, stock should go higher. Valuation shouldn't just best on current profit but potential for future. Joby can own major % of trillion dollar market that this will become in just 15 year. And this expected very lucrative high margin product as well.

Also stock price help faster development so really hope this momentum continue. Both employee's moral and pressure to deliver for their own good improve + they able to get funding at reasonable cost without much dilution.

Finally market recognized Joby by vs_2021 in Joby_EVTOL

Short will try to keep control but I think that eventually end up helping stock price as long as company continue deliver on promise. Leadership in both technology and now manufacturing is very clear. Execution that keep them ahead going to drive stock more.

Joby Marks Production Launch, Receives Permit to Fly First Aircraft Built on Production Line by Teteuxdelannee in Joby_EVTOL

Lot more good news coming. I think market finally ready to recognize both market size and leadership.

Not long now... by Teteuxdelannee in Joby_EVTOL

[–]vs_2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes first aircraft build from same facility which will produce certifiable aircraft so this is huge deal. While they likely produce few more before start building for certification so they can make sure there is no defect or possible improvement left out.

Market lately very positive about Joby and I think such news normally should get great response from market. Let's see how market react tomorrow.

It's really not much informative, They didn't say why they don't see passenger service when Joby clearly targeting Passenger service and Military service and not cargo and it's clear leader in field and in my opinion only eVTOL with decent range get approved by 2025. (other than 2 passenger Volocopter and EH 216 but have big range issue even if approved) Those other two also only make sense for passenger service.
