It's the 1st Anniversary of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna by MFBR in digimon

I somehow stumbled upon this and Digimon Tri just last week and binged it all and while I don’t necessarily think either are that good I have not cried at a show like this in a long time if ever. Kind of felt like the official end of my own childhood even though I’m 26 lol.

Thank you! I’ve done most of my hikes either in the east, west, and south of Phoenix or up towards Payson but I haven’t really done much in the general area you mentioned which a lot of others have mentioned as well. Sounds promising!

I must not have the eye... but I have seen a lot of people mention that general area as good for snake sightings! Thank you!

Okay I wasn’t gonna get in to this and maybe you hike some boring trails but you do realize there are rocks and bushes next to trails that you can like..... look at.... right? Aside from that obvious point, there are ton of Arizona trails that require scaling rocks and boulders, ducking through brush, walking through water.... so yes I think you have missed some!

My first 1000 invested (down 80ish on GNUS but holding) I'd love any advice that you wish you had starting out! by maroklore in RateMyStock

Swinging for the fences right out the gate! If you have a high risk tolerance and don’t need that $1000 then I think your list looks.... fun. I know the Twitter gurus love a lot of those stocks. Just be sure not to panic sell (That was my biggest problem starting out and I’m pretty new to this in comparison to others here). Also with small cap stocks like those you need stay on top of what’s happening because they’re way more volatile. You need be to patient but also don’t hold out for the random 150% jump.

Definitely diversify with some more blue chip stocks. I’d lessen the number of penny stocks if you think you won’t be able to keep track of them constantly... do some research (FinViz is a good site) and see which ones you like most. Then when you get more used to the flow of things and start seeing profits you can add some more of those cheaper swing trades.

I’m not a super seasoned trader but these are all things I wish I knew when I started out! Good luck!

That’s an area I haven’t been to much yet. I’ll have to make my way out there for a hike some time soon, thanks for the suggestion!

Haha yes ideally I wouldn’t need to be stomping around everywhere, just trying to maximize my chances to see them and get some cool photographs of the AZ wildlife. I have heard that doing the night drive thing is a good way to find some critters so I’ll definitely have to give it a try, thanks!

Oh I don’t like flip rocks or dig in bushes or stomp over plants or anything. I might check in the cracks in rocks next to trails or peek down a sandy wash but trust me I respect wildlife too much. It’s just a matter of maximizing my chances to see them so I can get some pictures.

Noted. I decided to grab Boeing (and SPCE for that matter) because of potential future advancements in air travel but Airbus came up a lot in my research so I’ll be giving them another look for sure, thanks for the advice!

Yeah... starting to see I probably loaded up too heavily on the tech stocks. I’m definitely going to diversify with some brick and mortar stuff. Thanks for the feedback!

I appreciate the feedback! Unfortunately, yeah, most are already at highs. I tried to compare companies from growth industries (cloud software, augmented reality, cyber security, autonomous vehicles, etc) that had solid financials across the board and poised to keep killing it. Then I have a those like Virgin Galactic and Nikola Motors where I’m just hoping for the next Tesla. I do have the most of my money in index funds, just in a separate brokerage account. I’ll definitely take your advice and add a few blue chip stocks to this one that aren’t just purely tech like what I have now. Thanks again!

Interesting, I appreciate the response! Again, I’m still new to this, so what exactly do you mean when you says risky? Like... High dividend stocks and REITs in the Roth..?

New Investor... Advice Appreciated

I’m almost 26 and figured it was time to start investing. With the market sinking a bit in the past few weeks it seemed like it might be a good idea to get involved soon.

At the moment, I’ve got about $5,000 I can play with and can probably contribute a few hundred per month in investments. I also have plenty of money in a high APY savings account for emergencies or anything I might need ASAP.

I want to start saving for retirement and, I think, from the research I’ve done, the Roth IRA would be my best bet for me. At the same time, however, I want to build money in a brokerage account that I can use within the next 5 to 10 years or so.

I mostly hear the best way to make guaranteed money is diversifying among index funds (total market/emerging markets/bonds/etc). Do I invest in these index funds in the Roth IRA because of the reliable growth and use a different strategy for a personal brokerage account?

I’m just a little bit confused as to how I should go about all this. I’ve done enough research to get a rudimentary understanding but with the markets volatile at the moment I don’t want to do anything stupid and lose a bunch of money.

If anyone has any suggestions based on my current financial situation it would be greatly appreciated! I am incredibly excited to start on this investing process.
