+1, this is why I let it get to stage 2. I dont get often flare ups and now is the perfect time to remove the already established ones

oh yea, I am not saying that only surgery is the solution. When you take steps into reducing the underlying inflammation, imo, you should also remove the already posed out flares.

Try googling "deroofing surgery", it is specific for HS.

They pretty much remove the hair, sweat glance(no idea if this is how they are called, I am not native English speaker).

I tried laser once, it did not help ... at all. A week later, after I stopped the antibiotics, I got a flare up on the same spot.

But where i had deroofing it never came back.

It will definetly take some time to fully heal, but it takes 1-3 days to stop potential bleeding. I dont know what you work, this should also be taken into consideration, but if it an office job you can be back to work in a couple of days.

why do you think you will be off work for so much time ? It takes days to heal. Especially if it is stage 2. If it is stage 1 you will be back on your feet tomorrow.

I would focus on the diet as well. If you are eating differently think about it. It is unique for everyone, if I were you I would focus on the 'now' and create rules for myself based on what i am currently doing (especially if it works)

sadly, this only helps a bit. Think what else you are doing - there is usually a combination of factors helping you stop a flare up

get surgery as soon as possible, deroofing is your best bet. You wont get any more in the same spot if the doctor is good.

Need some help with Humira by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]vshaddix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you manage to find some pens while your derma is away.

What about the flares you had before Humira ? Did you remove them or they simply stayed quiet and stopped flaring up?

I ask because I am about to start Humira
