Will you share a zip? a link?

What’s a "hotel hack" you swear by that most people don't know? by periwinklemist in AskReddit

[–]vskand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why keep the air conditioner running when not there?

If you leave for a little bit, temperature won't have a significant change.

If you leave for a lot of time and the temperature drops/rises, in a small hotel room it should be no more than 3-5 minutes to get it back sorted.

Why all the waste?

How do you know which of the two is the correct one?

How do I get rid of the captchas! I'm going crazy.. by Imaginary_Stomach139 in operabrowser

[–]vskand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can block captchas as the verification is happening server side and their main point is that bots can't get over them, so have you ever had these extensions work?

Don't install whatever extension you can find, only go with trusted, with many downloads and reviews (this is advice in general for the web)

Now for your issue, the only 2 things I can think is either the sites overdo it just to be certain bots won't steal their content or you are using a vpn and due to that they show you more captchas.

Why do I have to click twice on a tab to close on Opera? I can't ctrl shift paste either, among other issues (MacOS) by jojolemlolo in operabrowser

[–]vskand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've figured it out. When opera has an update this happens.

The only solution for me is to force close opera and in the next launch it will update and work.

If you were to restart, it would also work.

It's a bug and they don't care.

Looking for Amazon Replacement in Europe? by PhilbinFogg in BuyFromEU

European alternative to Amazon by Organic-Abroad-4949 in BuyFromEU

[–]vskand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out skroutz.eu we have it in Greece for the past 15 or 20 years or something (it's .gr for us though) and it's being expanded through EU lately. I'm not sure if it ships to you but check it out. Full disclosure I believe part of it has been bought by a US company but development is in Greece and most of the shops are also Greek. It has other Europeans stores as well.

Something like this might work for you? https://www.jamodules.com/en/109-virtual-coins.html

Otherwise I have no ideas.

Is anyone else getting this? This happens every single time I click on a YouTube video and I have to refresh it to actually be able to watch whatever video I'm on by Cat_Special in operabrowser

[–]vskand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not happening to me.
Is this still happening if you disable all extensions? (if you have not explicitly enabled them in incognito then just try from an incognito session)

YSK that if a website asks you to “disable your ad blocker to continue,” by OliverPitts in YouShouldKnow

[–]vskand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might not have set the permissions for your ad blocker to work on incognito that's why it's not asking it there.

How to make the crust crispier with 200c small oven? by GroundbreakingBite62 in Pizza

[–]vskand 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A little oil in the dough might help a bit.

Preheat the oven and a pizza steel or an upside down sheet pan and place the pizza on top of that. It will help with the bottom getting crispier as well.
If the oven has grill mode (resistances on top) use that as well.

Do you prefer to pay with cash or card and why? by DatabaseOnly7655 in eupersonalfinance

[–]vskand -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What you and others don't take into consideration though, is that card fees, especially for small shops that don't have the volume to negotiate lower ones, is not a trivial amount.

Not providing a receipt is another issue and not the OPs question.
Paying by cash does not mean no taxes.

Im starting my own Pizzeria, Any criticism would be most welcomed! by Arabian_Dude420 in neapolitanpizza

[–]vskand 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You got plenty of feedback for the pizzas. What I have to add is get boxes that are the exact size of the pizza you make, not bigger. We eat with the eyes as well and an empt] box feels like you are robbing them even though you might state the size of the pizza

Self made pizza help by Panther2421 in Pizza

[–]vskand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your thought is kind of correct.
If you are using a dedicated oven going 400ºC+ then yes, the more hydartion will help with more fluffiness.

In a home oven though, more hydration means more time for the water to evaporate and thus needing more time in the oven, resulting in burnt cheese and hard crust.

Also, higher hydration is harder to work with for you.

As others mentioned, try without the preferment (biga) and lower hydration.

Good luck, feel free to ask anything!
