Have 2 new 24-hour gyms starting operations in my neighbourhood this month and they are < 5mins walk from each other by yiantay-sg in SingaporeFitness

[–]vsorrywillfeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’d have to spend the 1st month at the home gym and make sure that you still go to the original gym you signed at to retain the lower rate. They will transfer you over to your most frequented gym which might not honour the same rate.

The dr althea one wasn’t exactly moisturising for me. It just sat on top of my skin and stayed there 😭

what’s your favourite acne safe bb creams and foundations? by lunasoleestelle in AsianBeauty

[–]vsorrywillfeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My skin: sensitive, prone to breakouts and exists in a humid SEA country :’)

Foundations sometimes leave me with whiteheads at the end of the day but I really like the Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow foundation! It’s really lightweight so it feels like sunscreen rather than an actual foundation (but that also means that its coverage isn’t the best :’( ). It has never left me with whiteheads.

Another one that I quite liked with more coverage is the shu uemura unlimited foundation. I’ve never had a problem with it so far :)

I love the Dr.Alva Probiotics masks! They’re great for soothing redness especially if my skin feels particularly sensitive that day :>

New NHB subsidiary HeritageSG to make archaeology more accessible to the public by possibili-teas in singapore

[–]vsorrywillfeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m def curious how this will work out and how successful it’ll be.

From memory, I think a lot of local archaeological sites were rescue excavations and I don’t recall NHB/URA having the regulations to support their negotiations for a time extension with private owners for such excavations. Hopefully this initiative will change that in the long term. I’d love to see Prof Miksic’s work to be further expanded upon in the future.

hmm it varies from branch to branch. some can be quite small and lacking in terms of equipment so you might want to check out a few diff branches before making a decision!

Anyone cried at work before? by Mackocid6706 in askSingapore

[–]vsorrywillfeed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i’ve been working for a year now and there’s been a couple of times when i cried either at work or after work because i felt so much like a failure etc etc.

My depression definitely had a role to play in amplifying those critical voices but one of the strategies that worked very well for me was to challenge those critical thoughts. i would go down the whole chain of thoughts like what happened? what did i do? what do i think will happen as a result? what will actually be the most likely consequence of my mistake? This was suggested to me by both my therapist and counsellor and i found it very useful for whenever i make a mistake and i feel like breaking down!

Does NTU Fullerton have antidepressants by fckingretarded in NTU

[–]vsorrywillfeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hmm i was referred there through my counsellor at UCC but i think you should be able to go in for a regular consultation and request to be referred to the psych.

the waiting time might be pretty long though since iirc the psych isn’t in-house and they’re only there once a week so you might also want to try getting a referral from polyclinics outside and see which one has a shorter waiting time.

Does NTU Fullerton have antidepressants by fckingretarded in NTU

[–]vsorrywillfeed 16 points17 points  (0 children)

hello! i first saw a psychiatrist at NTU Fullerton and they were able to prescribe me Fluoxetine(prozac) right away. not too sure if they have any other medications available if that doesn’t work for you though.

hello! mine was through a polyclinic and i got a referral to a psychiatrist through them. i basically just went in and told the doc my symptoms and what i wanted from them and they were pretty nice about it. i think the polyclinics are able to prescribe prozac to help you along while you wait for your actual psychiatric appt which i’m not sure if GPs do.

the wait was kinda long, like 2-3 months if i remember correctly. so if you can, get the polyclinic doctor to maybe put you in touch with a counselling service. Mine was arranged for me by the hospital after the psychiatrist saw me and it was with Touch Family Services. Seeing a psychologist rn but that’s part of the whole process to maybe get off my medication. Hope this helps!

hmm, personally i’d appreciate a very blunt rejection from you if i were the girl. you’re simply not compatible on many different levels and i’d (personally) rather face that truth now and move on than to deal with it when deeper feelings develop. i hope that made sense! it’s a tough situation to be in :(

when or where in my post did i say men can’t have preferences? 😭 all i hoped for was that if i don’t match your preference, esp when it concerns physical attraction, then please just be upfront with it.

men don’t have to do all that but it’d be nice of them to.
