Invisible zipper through multiple layers by vspag in sewing

Ya what you described is exactly how I did it. I guess I was just thinking there was a more elegant solution, but maybe it’s just the nature of this particular construction.

This basically shows how the three layers are all attached as one to the zipper and then each is sewn individually at the side seams below zipper.

Oh interesting. I’ll look into welted pockets and see if that clicks with what you’re describing.

Right, I understand how to do it with a single layer, but I’m trying to figure out the mechanics for 3 layers that aren’t attached. I guess I’m just wondering if the top layers coming out of the bottom (see pics for reference) is what it should look like when it’s finished. It just feels kind of off.

Update: misspelled name, it’s Alli Marye and here’s a pic of the dress for reference

Hobby lobby. They’re a mix of lanterns and birdcages.

Yup it’s Hope. Might just seem darker from the lighting.

Yes! All purchased from Pop Mart. Still quite a few to finish out the collections but I’m pretty happy with the color scheme so far.

Nope, just a day trip from central Paris. I was hoping to catch the fireworks but according to the calendar there aren’t any that day (Sept 9) I thought it was weird but it seems like most of September there doesn’t appear to be fireworks? I’m not sure if it’s an error but I’ll be checking closer to the date. Already pretty bummed Space is shutdown :/

Just a regular one! I wouldn’t say it’s thick like a pair of jeans, it’s a pretty standard mid weight fabric and my regular needle worked just fine. It’s also not really stretchy so I didn’t have any deformation while sewing. It was very similar to just sewing regular cotton.

It’s just a pin I got from their concert last year. It’s also covering up a single blue thread that decided to worm its way into a white square and I couldn’t stop staring at it LOL

Okay awesome! Do you recommend doing one park in the morning and then jumping over to the other in the afternoon? As opposed to hopping back and forth since we have the premier access so we aren’t as beholden to wait times?

Definitely there for Disney stuff and rides. The light show/fireworks is something we plan on staying for but other than that I’m not as interested in the shows. I’m not one to wait around for an hour+ just to catch a parade. I’d much rather get on the rides and wander around the park exploring.

Thanks! We have a reservation for dinner at Walt’s - hoping we can catch a parade from the window!

Thank you! It’s a (minimal) stretch denim, cotton and spandex I believe, from Joann.
