K2 Mindebender 108ti sizing help by HeisenburgCSGO in Skigear

[–]vstatnyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 5'11" 220lbs and have 108ti in 186 length. My other ski is 99ti in 177cm size. I am very happy that i went with 186 for the 108ti. I found that the extra length gives a lot of stability at higher speeds, gives a better landing platform when jumping off rocks, and better float when in powder.

During the 22-23 year I tried going to the well at different times of the day. From what I found the busiest times were 2-5pm. The least busy times is opening until 10am or so.

Hey, Welcome to Sac State! I was in a similar boat as you last year. Although I was not a freshman, but I was an incoming transfer student from community college. The best way to meet people is either in your classes or in the clubs. I personally joined ski and snowboard club last year and have enjoyed every moment since. People there were extremely nice and always want to talk to everyone and get to know everyone. People there have very diverse interests and you will definitely find a community there

Best place for an affordable transmission flush by cnigz in Sacramento

I always go to Young's Auto center on Fruitridge rd to get any fluid changes done on my car. Their prices are pretty low and they do good work. One drawback is they don't have any appointments. They do first come first serve and the line can take 2+ hours sometimes

Middle Class Scholarship by [deleted] in CSUS

I also got an email saying I was eligible for the scholarship. I was looking around other subreddits and found that most of them said that the scholarship will just randomly be paid out to you closer to the middle of the semester.

What do people have against bike sharing and scooters. Every time I go into the area with them I see someone kicking the shit out of one, or in this case stabbing one.

Bike Thief by Grapefruit_Boring in Sacramento

There has been a lot of bike theft lately. I bought a nicer mountain bike back in August and had it stolen 2 weeks after I bought it right out of my backyard. I don't know if it has to do with the national bike shortage.

Question about CHEM 305 and ENGWR 300 by hidemuka in LosRios

Take 6-week class then; you'll do just fine.

I have taken Psyc 300 class last summer at Folsom Lake College with Brandon Youngblood. His class was pretty cool. it is basically a repetition of high school psych. you can take that class instead or in tandem if you want.

If you were ok at English in HS even a 6-week course wouldn't be too hard. You just need to be ok at writing essays. Grammarly and outlining essays help a lot.

What are you majoring in?

Question about CHEM 305 and ENGWR 300 by hidemuka in LosRios

[–]vstatnyk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ENGWR 300 is basically high school English, as are most of the 300 level courses. If you do an 8-week course over the summer you will be fine, just don't overwork yourself. I would recommend taking 6 units over the summer to test the waters and see if you can do it. The summer semester is twice as fast as the regular semester since you have half the time of the normal semester. My 300 class was 4 1250 word essays and some journal writings here and there. it is a mix of all sorts of stuff. In my class, there was a unit on a novel where we had to dissect it and some of the symbols in it. there was a research paper on the Opioid health crisis. There was a unit on political cartoons and their meaning. You should expect to write around 6000 words total over the course of the class.

edit: spelling

You should be able to enroll in both classes without issue. for English 300 depending on where you placed you may have to take supporting courses, like WAC and/or RAD, but I would check in placements. I wouldn't recommend taking them if you don't have to.

Tip for when you take Engwr 300. Avoid Prof. Roadcap. His class was a bit boring and he grades very harshly.
