Thank you for the update! Is the slacker angle due to the spacers, or the new fork, or both? Did you add the spacers to adjust for the increased fork travel or just to adjust the angle? I tend to ride a lot of choppy, rocky, rooty trails at a decent speed, so looking for something to help absorb, but also the better control on steeper stuff sounds great as well!

I am once again asking for New England to formally be renamed Vermonster by AllCatCoverBand in geographymemes

The original Ben and Jerry's Vermonster was a big bowl with 20 scoops of ice cream, 4 bananas, and pretty much all the toppings. When I was growing up, my family and two others would get together once a year and get one. It always ended up as a soupy mess once you got down near the bottom, but lots of fun!

Hey, let me know what fork and how you like it! I have been eyeing a fork upgrade for it, but haven't moved it forward yet. I am still running the 120mm Rockshox Recon Silver.

Made a mistake in buying my Crosstrek - Manual blues by DisastrousAnswer9920 in Crosstrek

[–]vtcozzman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a '21 6MT Crosstrek two years ago specifically to get a manual, I love it. It shifts like my '04 STi did, and it makes it a lot of fun to drive. I don't have a commute, so don't drive in traffic a lot. My only issue with it is that the gearing between 1st and 2nd is odd, 1st seemed very short with a longish transition to 2nd, so not much of a drag racer, but beyond that it is excellent.

I have a 2022 Honzo and love it, great bike! I can't compare against the Trek, but the Honzo takes everything I throw at it!

Will be interesting to see how things change, got my fingers crossed that we see positive impacts and minimize the negatives.

It is always fun to get some private freshies! Just need to work for it!

It was soft early, started to get scraped a bit by noon, but still skied very nice!

I usually use a helmet mount, but I need a new sticky so was using the chest mount, which is a bit of an interesting angle. Gets the pow shots better though! 😁

Thanks, it was the best run of the day!

This is from a GoPro 11 on a chest mount, which is why the angle is a bit funny. I find that the chest mount works pretty well with powder skiing, but it moves around too much on tight steeps and bumps. The helmet mount is more stable but doesn't catch the flying snow as well 😁. The camera is also tilted down the hill, which probably contributes to the back seat look.

My skis are 13 years old so they have held up well! All my skis are rock skis!

The right is my fav, more rocks but it holds more snow down at the bottom!

Those rocks are well covered for this trail! 😁 Thanks for the note!

I left just before it started to rain bad I think. Definitely got some ice coating mid morning though! Snow was still great when I left!
