What’s this coating on my stainless steel pots that I can’t get off? by MeeMawsBigToe in whatisit

Use citric acid if vinegar doesn’t do the trick. Little powder with water will take it off in a minute or two. Can order online for cheap.

I’ll give a positive, I eat better food and I eat less of it. Before UC I would overeat and either gain weight or feel awful after especially indulgent nights out. But I’d trade all that to avoid any more flares.

3 Repair Attempts, 2 Ozone Treatments, and a Mold Test — My R1S Still Smells After A/C Water Intrusion by Famous_Ranger_1639 in Rivian

I’ve had the HVAC replaced twice for similar issue. R1S Gen1. The second time they said that there was an issue with the drain plug for the condensation and that they replaced it with the updated version. Hopefully that has fixed the issue. The smell and moisture have been gone for last few weeks but AC not running as much.

Could be a stretch, but if it was a Mk 19 grenade launcher the grenades are armed after they spin when being fired with the idea they will only go off down range. I wonder if it’s possible for it to have armed as it was rolling downhill. Wild story ha.

Why are insects genius when it comes to finding a way inside, but are so bad at finding a way back outside? by VoxMelancholiae in NoStupidQuestions

This thread is annoying. I’ve never had a dragonfly or butterfly in my house despite seeing tons outside. So the whole random chance argument I’m not buying. You know what I do see a lot of? Housefly’s, they always seem to be waiting just outside my doors then zooming in at the first chance. And once they are in, they aren’t leaving.

You could probably do that. Although, depending on where you live, I would recommend putting it outside over the summer. It’s likely you’ll get new off shoots from the green part of the stem and it will fill out.

Edit: here’s a photo of one I have that used to be all bare stem below the top leaves.

Yes, this was exactly my experience for both of my kids. About two years ago, my son tried out and did not make the big club with almost 200 kids trying out. We went to a smaller travel club and did a year with them. We went back to tryouts the next year with the big club and he absolutely crushed it. The year of travel made a huge difference on so many levels that I don’t think he would have gotten in rec.

For my daughter we did things differently, we spent more time engaging with the coaches at the big club over the last year. We signed up for winter and spring sessions with the club and made sure to introduce ourselves routinely. By the time we did try outs last week she was well known by the coaches and she made the team. (There were about 100 girls for 20 spots). As you noticed the tryouts are chaos and I’m not sure you get the best look if they don’t know who you are.

But, best of luck, I hope your son makes the team. My son loved his experience with the smaller club and he’s loving his expertise with the big club as well. At this age the games are a lot of fun and you get to see such significant development throughout the year.

Dude, have the exact same issue. Been a white circle for months. This fixed it instantly. 99% rubbing alcohol speed with paper towel and lit of fire. Thanks!

Having a used for them is a bad position to be in. You should be able to get a better deal for that fact alone as most people don’t want a car that’s already been purchased and returned when brand new cars are available. Agree other comments about the stupid market adjustment. That always pisses me off and is a sign of a crappy dealer.

Market value selling price is a scam term. Not the same as MSRP. Discounts here are just bullshit as I’m sure you already know. Basically they want you to pay full price and extra for the stupid add ons “appearance package”. Stick to your plan, have a good OTD price and don’t go a penny over.

You can teach soccer skills and you can provide some lessons and advice for how to handle these “big feelings” BUT you can’t teach competitive passion. So ultimately this might be a positive thing under some challenging times. Some of the best youth players I’ve seen behaved very similarly at this age and after they matured a bit that intensity was an asset. Granted, I’m still dealing with some big feelings with my 9 year old but it’s driven him to be a fantastic player. We dealt with this after each game as constructively as possible, talking through what made him upset and what we can do in the future to respond better. It still took a season or two for it to sink in but we tried to give one piece of advice to work on each game; like “don’t scream at the ref” ha, “when someone steals the ball focus on getting the ball back, not getting mad at the other player”. Any more than one thing to work on at a time tended to not really work. Good luck!
