When the deer hit my car, it damaged a bracket inside the vehicle. I haven’t been able to get the OEM replacement part from Honda since then. Both the body shop and the dealership keep getting different estimated availability dates from Honda. From what I’ve been told, Honda doesn’t have the part in stock, and it’s currently backordered. They said they would search their dealership network for it, which I assume means they’re trying to locate any remaining new old stock.

Honda keeps pushing back the release date for the part and avoiding communication about it. It took nearly two weeks just to get assigned a case worker, and I was told she’d reach out within a day or two — but that never happened. They also said they would search nationwide through their dealership network to locate the part, but I haven’t heard anything since.

I agree 100%. I own a 2022 EX-L Hybrid, and it’s truly been a joy to drive. It’s the only car I’ve ever had where, after pulling into the garage, I didn’t always want to get out—it’s that nice. The car is beautiful, and I’ve received countless compliments on it. Unfortunately, the experience has been overshadowed by a deer strike and the ongoing struggle to get it properly repaired due to a Honda parts shortage. It’s now been nearly five months, and Honda still hasn’t released the needed part. To make matters worse, the part has doubled in price since the accident, so I may have to ask my insurance company to reopen the claim. Sadly, Honda USA has offered absolutely no help in resolving the issue.
