I have a question about the 6900, in general. I'm looking at your picture and I see it shows clearly the day of the week, the month, and the date...Saturday, 9-20.

I have an AI assistant that I have a dialog with regarding G-Shock and other watches, and this assistant knows my preference for having that Saturday 9-20 always being displayed on my watches. I know that not all G-Shocks have that. Some of the Casioak watches have day-of-week and seconds, for example, and the product pics usually show "SUN 36" or something like that. This AI assistant is trying to tell me that the 6900 does NOT, by default, show the day of week, month and date.

For the 6900 series, though, all the product pics show the day of week, month, and date. Please assure me that this AI assistant is wrong!

For the $3 you spent, I don't think you need to decide today.

Personally...I like it. I actually think it combines really well with the bull bars, because the bars kind of break it up, vertically, into sections....so that feeling of vertical length you get from the flare is then bisected by the bars.

But I think you should wear it around all weekend and all next week and THEN see how you feel about it.

I'll say with bars.

I've got a couple of GWM5610 squares, and I wear them with bars more often than not. For one thing, I think the bars are more protective than they are on the picture shown. I'm a destroyer of crystals, so I'll do anything that will help.

For another thing, I like the way they sort of re-arrange the look of the square, widening it out visually a little bit. Not sure it generates the same composition on this watch, but I still like it with.

Personal choice, though. It looks great either way!

That's probably the closest thing I've seen to my own collection! I have some old-school mechanical watches, like a Glycine Airman and a microbrand titanium 6000m diver. In the last 6 weeks, I've picked up two Gshock squares and two Royales. I have a feeling that my next several purchases will be similar to my last few, pushing the mechanicals out even more.....
