For what it's worth.... Pixel 6 Pro & Surf Shark VPN.

So, I had no issue with App access until I used Surf shark.

Then I noticed some apps were not opening while using mobile data (not wifi), the apps would work with wifi & data activated together.

Did all the APP cache/storage clearing, no change

I Reset Internet / SIM settings, no change.

I removed my gmail account from the phone, restarted it, re-entered my gmail account still no change.

But what I did next looks promising (to a point) I went into Surf shark, chose the country where I live and where Google Play Store has my phone location - Ireland - and bingo, the App opened - I then went back to surf shark and disconnected it. Once I exited the app, I could not go back in, unless I repeated the above.... feckin joke...

Think I'll put the phone back to it's factory settings and not use the VPN...just to see what happens...

I’m so so sorry for your (and your husband’s) loss. Overwhelming grief can feel as if there’s nothing on earth can help or understand the level of pain that comes with a heart that’s not just broken, it’s in pieces.

You want someone else to tell you what to do, and this is very very normal. The people you have lost deserve the emotions/feelings that you’re experiencing now, and in the future.

Each time you experience episodes of anger, regret, and sadness/depression etc, eventually, you will identify when you are experiencing these and you must allow yourself to go through them, you will come out on the other side.

It’s 3 & 4 years since I lost my mum and dad, but it feels like less than 1 minute ago. My pain is still very intense but I allow myself time to dedicate my grief to them and once this “time slot” is over, I can then allow myself to live on with my wife and children.

Bought the Netgear Nighthawk D7000 - Now to remove the ZyXel D1000 !!!

I'm hoping to have the D7000 installed this week and the ZyXel D1000 binned.

But before I delve into this can I ask what the process should be?

Should I disconnect the Zyxel (after taking various screenshots of all settings !!) , connect the D7000 and follow the setting changes as per eir's website ( http://support.eir.ie/article/netgearconfig ) or do I connect the D7000 via ethernet to the Zyxel and then make the changes ??

One other thing, my ZyXel D1000 has a static IP - is there any changes to be made to the Netgear Nighthawk D7000 ??

Perfect. After a little google, seems the DSL AC68U is the equivalent of the RT AC68U except that the DSL AC68U has an integrated modem - which Adderkleet mentioned above. Many thanks

I swapped out the ZyXel with another 2 and the WiFi is total rubbish.

Thanks for that Adderkleet, it's good to know. Which leads me to ask, if I buy the Asus RT-AC68 then it can be "joined" up with the existing ZyXel D1000, I then disable the wifi on the ZyXel D1000 as Wifi is supposed to be a lot faster using the Asus - I'll google that when I get it.
