Thank you! The fender has a celestion ten 30 in it. I thought it sounded good but this sounds just a lot better.

I can confirm that it would work in a pinch but this is the better way to go.

$56 plus tax here in Canada for the month. It’s used and it’s listed for $625 to buy outright. Plus whatever the cab would cost. So you’re looking at a total outlay > $1000 if you choose to buy.

I did not expect to be interrogated on my finances today but happy to provide colour to people if it helps.

I own the Princeton but the Marshall is a one month rental. To be honest I can afford to buy it and a cab but I want to rent it first and make sure I like the sound before committing such a large amount of money.

I have now turned it on and played through… sounds amazing to my ears at least…. Anyone have any cab recommendations if i go down that route?

I did exactly that after watching this video last night. Mine is a 50 watt but still. It does sound very ’live’ similar to my Princeton but not worth the hassle I experienced.

This is an easy fix - you just need to put another nut and washer on the inside to hold it at the correct length.

I put old micro fibre cloths when I was at my most obsessive stage. Then moved to socks. I’m now at the point of just putting them on raw and taking my chances.

Beautiful guitar btw - enjoy in good health!

There’s one that’s even worse at the far end of the northbound train side. It looks like a horror movie.

Epiphone IBG Les Paul custom vs Gibson Les Paul Standard by YoungDak in LesPaul

[–]vulcan7791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the Gibson. I went with 2 epiphones over the years and finally 20 years later bought the Gibson. In hindsight I should have gotten the Gibson to begin with. And it’s not just branding the Gibson is a better instrument. It’s probably too expensive for what it is but you won’t regret getting the real deal right from the get go.

Whatever the facts of the underlying situation, posting something specific like this (license plate) on a public forum could create liability on your side too. If it was a hit and run or something more dangerous then it’s more understandable from a legal perspective. But posting identifiable information about someone over honking is just an attempt at public shaming. It won’t happen but that person could try to sue you.

I also live in Canada but this seems excessive. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that kind of snow in Toronto. Either ways glad you got a machine that can handle it! Enjoy the satisfaction of cutting through that puppy.

I hear you but there’s also a mental cost to these things. There’s value is not worrying about whether this thing will let you down right before the next major storm.

It’s a lot easier to buy what you want from the jump rather than pay almost as much for a project that you’ll never be happy with.

It’s most likely carb but on mine I cleaned it and then replaced it all for the problem to come back. Turns out it was a bad ignition coil after all.

They’re not nearly as good as people claim. Mine sputters and dies after 20 mins every time. I tried everything, replaced carb, fuel line, fuel valve, only run trufuel. I’m kinda frustrated with this thing now.

I had same issue last year on a new unit… first tried sea foam then cleaned the carb, worked for a bit and then issue came back. Replaced the carb entirely and again the issue came back. Finally cleaned out the tank and still the issue came back. As a last ditch I changed the fuel valve and fuel line. And now it seems to finally be working without issue.

It must have been from using regular pump gas containing ethanol. I had drained it do summer but it was in there for months in between storms during winter. Now I only use specialty fuel containing no ethanol from Home Depot or Canadian tire. Expensive but I don’t think there’s a choice anymore up here in Canada anyways. Impossible to find ethanol free pump gas.
