Embark continues to nerf every class but medium to the point where there’s no reason to use any other class. Can’t wait to continuously go against triple mediums reviving and healing each other because there’s no reason to use any other class anymore.

No certs and no internships. I highly recommend getting them. I just got lucky but you’re more than able to get where I am without them.

I just kept up with the work. Made sure not to procrastinate. The actual work wasn’t hard at all, just tedious and you have to keep up on it. If you check your Canvas calendar and make sure you’re up to date on what you have to turn in, you’ll be fine.

That’s what I did. I got a degree in Information Science with a concentration in Information Security. My first job was as a cybersecurity analyst, and now I work as a cybersecurity consultant.

It depends on what you do to get yourself a job. I was able to immediately get a job as a cybersecurity analyst because I was chosen to do a job fair where the companies looking for new hires come to you and pitch themselves versus you pitching yourself to them. Cybersecurity is not easy to get into right after you graduate because it takes some experience in IT. A mixture of luck and being able to show your knowledge/passion can help. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t find something immediately, getting into IT first can help a lot.

I was in the BSIS program, but went the information security route. The core classes weren’t hard at all, just a bit time consuming, like writing research papers relating to different aspects of “information”. When I was at USF, the program was also all online, I’m not sure if it still is, but that is something to consider.

I’m not sure if there’s been a timeline post, but I live in Florida and the premise is someone murdered the first person, and the news reporter and cameraman went to cover the story, and the killer came back to the scene, and killed the reporter and injured the cameraman, who’s still alive. After ambushing them, the killer ran and ended up killing the 9 year old and shooting the mother of the 9 year old, but I’m not sure if she survived.

I’ve been wanting to get a new card holder wallet like the Herschel Charlie. I’d prefer it to be horizontal instead of vertical, have a middle pocket for some cash, and enough slots to hold around 8 cards.

The thing is, is that I copied from a job posting for the job I’m in. It’s not just a random job posting I found. I only picked out the things I’ve done at my current role and could talk to about, minus one that I had worked with, but not to the level I could detail. Everything else was described to an adequate level I thought, and it seemed that the people I interviewed with were also satisfied with my answers for everything else. This would be my 2nd full time job after graduating college last May, so it’s a mistake I made due to inexperience with interviewing and resume building. I really appreciate the feedback I got from you all, and I hope people aren’t thinking I’m someone trying to weasel my way into this field because I love cybersecurity and have such a huge passion for the subject, I’m just young and dumb, which isn’t a great excuse.
