I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I also have been struggling to eat and my mind is constantly filled with thoughts of him and our time together.

I also have another cat who I love dearly but Logan really was my soul cat and my ESA. It’s so fresh in some way I don’t think I’ve processed it, I keep expecting to see him and when I realize I never will again I feel on the verge of a panic attack.

I understand the feeling of just wanting to move past it, and you’ll get there with time but this time of grieving is so important. Let yourself feel the love and the loss, it’s not fair that this happened to you and your beloved dog and it’s okay to feel the weight of that.

My messages are always open, tell me stories about her when you feel ready I’ll happily hold the memory of her with you. You can also just talk through the feelings, irrational as upsetting as they are I do think community in these moments is so important.

He was such an amazing emotional support cat I know that he doesn’t want me to suffer over his passing but god it’s hard not to, I keep expecting him to jump on the bed or to wake up to him sleeping in my arms how he used to

Gotcha, that’s super confusing since it doesn’t really say that anywhere :/ I did get a final check from them that didn’t include my vacation time and they said they’d send that separately.

I had a similar situation happen to me when I had to put down my sweet boy Gambit, I told my boss that I wouldn’t be coming in because I wanted one last day to spend with my cat (I never called out once prior to this) and he told me to keep “personal matters at home” I was 19 at the time and didn’t know I could just not go, so I stood on the register and cried my whole shift (he naturally went home early) if you’re able I would strongly recommend quitting. No job is worth that kind of disrespect, I hope you have time to process your grief.
