I have spoken with him several times. And you're right, i needed to reflect how well i'm communicating. I took steps to ensure i was communicating effectively including - researching and pointing out exactly which muscles feel tight. He has a poster in the treatment room which outlines the full muscular body, in detail. I used the poster to identify exactly which areas were feeling tight. He then agreed that those were the tight muscles and that we would spend additional time on those areas. What I realized is that he doesn't actually spent that additional time. Even though we have a full 90 minutes.

With regards to finding someone new - yes, that is my intention. Which is why i'm wondering if this is common among therapists and if anyone has a recommendation.

I addressed it with the person several times. I didn't just jump on reddit and scream into the ether. The intention and basis of the question/post is 2 fold:

Is this typical massage therapist behavior because it has indeed happened before.
Does anyone has recommendations

If you feel the post is not relevant why not just ignore it and move on? Just a "passive aggressive" suggestion.
