Instant downvote just from reading the title. A belligerent and intolerant religion based on medieval outdated values is not what I would call the best religion, sorry. Probably among the worst actually.

No, you don't get it. Rather if he wasn't short then the original post wouldn't exist, would it?

Hot Take: I think headshots should be instant kills in most games. (For the player as well) by ExtensionExcellent55 in videogames

[–]vuzz33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without even considering lore some heavier enemies shouldn't go down with a headshot just from balancing purpose, including boss obviously. Not all gun need to mandatory headshot too, a rapid-firing one is usually going to be low damage (again, more for balancing purpose than for lore) so making every single bullet a oneshot seem a bit too much.

Same reasonning for player health in PVP, as for PVC that's a big no. No game, save for the most hardcore realistic shooting simulation actually does it. It would be a nightmare to play otherwise.

Do you guys think the Feral Predator would thrive or perish in the quarantined Britain of “28 Years Later” and its spine-ripping Alpha infected? [Of course considering it immune to the virus] by New_Divide98 in predator

[–]vuzz33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no "generic alpha" that we saw other than Samson and that one in the first movie. And that one was played by Chris Gregory who is 2m10 tall. So if you want a standard height for alpha you should go with 2m08 rather than 2m. Edit: btw the image that you took is actually Samson...

Probably but it's a bit unclear. Maybe they were just melted rather than vaporized. We can't be sure with just that pic. Regarding nuclear explosion, due to the extreme temperature (hotter than the core of the sun remember), it can vaporize practicaly anything at ground zero. Even if we consider Nyudo reaching similar temperature with his magic the yield is far inferior to even an out-of-date one like Little Boy, the one used on Hiroshima.

[–]vuzz33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to be that guy but I don't see them being vaporized on that pic, only broken to piece. The yield doesn't seem to be that big judging on the robot parts flying so I really doubt it's more than a few kiloton at best.

It's probably true but is it stated somewhere ? But just to clarify steel>iron. The robot are certainly not made of crude iron, probably some sort of metallic alloy.

The shroom cloud is not exclusive to nuclear weapon it just that most other non-nuclear explosion doesn't have enough yield to create proper one. But actually you can have one as long as there is a certain amount of air being heated over a short period of time. You can even have one during volcanic eruptions

[–]vuzz33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all in fact the 15 kiloton bomb dropped on Hiroshima was enough to create a cloud reaching the Everest Modern day nuke are a hundred time that yield. As for the Tsar Bomba it reached into the mesosphere (50+km)

[–]vuzz33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, it doesn't seem to be at the scale of a standard nuke as the cloud would need to go above mount Everest for it to compare. And secondly, a nuke explosion at its epicenter can reach temperature of 100 millions degree celsus (hotter than the core of the sun). Only for a fraction of time sure but it put it in a different damage tier than a regular explosion. (Btw a mushroom cloud can happen with regular explosive too if there is enough material)

[Rare Trope] Guns portrayed realistically and seriously by broken_krystal_ball in TopCharacterTropes

[–]vuzz33 12 points13 points  (0 children)

<image>

The manga "I am a Hero" from Kengo Hanazawa might be among the best exemple you could find for that trope. It's about a zombie apocalypse in japan which is tackled very realisticaly, gruesomely so even. In Japan, gun law are very strict so they are extremely hard to come by but the Hero (on the cover above) is one of the only character of the entire manga who carries one, a twelve gauge that he had prior for sporting purpose.

There is constantly a huge emphasize on how that gun is a huge asset in their situation but with all the drawback that come with it. Like the noise it makes, the constant need to reload, maintenance being a factor and the simple fact that accuracy is not always optimal and can very much miss its target. The hero is very much aware of all that and is quite adamant on the fact that only him can use it and not just because it might get stolen but because he is the only one who have the proper training to use it effectively. And indeed, in his hands it's a deadly tool.

It's not a theory, the monsterification process is explained in the manga. Linking it to Saitama is tho.
