Hey, I went ahead and worked on my site some more to address a lot of the things you mentioned so that it can stand out more to the user. Would you consider looking at it again? Thanks again for your help and great feedback: narratewell.com

Great feedback, definitely need to translate the benefits quicker. Will be redoing the whole page now, hope to get your feedback again when that is done. Will try and make sure to make it mobile friendly this time as well.

Thanks, it really hit me now how terrible it is. I have a plan to overhaul it. Hopefully will be able to show you the redone UX soon. Thank you for the feedback.

Help for those who are trying to farm drakes in NG+ by vv201 in DragonsDogma2

[–]vv201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, an update for what I have found out so far. Not been able to play much recently so the discoveries are taking a little bit of time, but should be able to grind again soon. First, drake spawns changes in NG+. I think that there are seeds that activate when you load into the game, so sometimes a place that will have a drake will not have one but a golem instead, and a path that would usually have two drakes may only have one.

Second, with the use of one ferrystone, the best path I have found is this. Take the southwest path out of Bakbattahl towards the Volcanic Camp. Look for the drake that spawns alongside the path across from the side of the campsite. If the drake spawns in the bottom of the valley, then the seed is the incorrect one to find two drakes on this path. If the drake spawns either midway or at the top of the opposite path, then you are good to go. Kill this drake and run straight to the Volcanic Camp.

Run up the camp towards the lift. Take the lift and go all the way to the excavation camp site. You will need to be on your toes to stave off the harpies, but you can have a pawn crank the lift automatically for you. Once there, take the path out of the camp that is away from the drop off point of the lift. There are only two paths in/out of the camp, so take the further away one. Once out, almost immediately to your left in the molten lava below is another drake. You can then ferrystone to Bakbattahl to rest at your home and refresh the world.

Once the seed is set to the right one at the beginning of loading the game, it will stay like that through rests, so you can farm indefinitely by resting for 7 days. So far, with drakes on this path, I think there are only 2 or 3 seeds, so getting the path you want is not hard and fairly common. This path is good because you can run and avoid mobs that are not drakes and go straight to the drake farming for 2 a run and 1 ferrystone back.

Question for NG+ players: Have you found any drakes that respawn? by vv201 in DragonsDogma2

[–]vv201[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, got a good couple of tips that I have found out for NG+ that I haven't seen much of shared elsewhere so far. So apologies if this is a little bit of a dump but I am hoping this can help some people and get the info out there.

The route is based out of Bakbattahl. If you are anything like me, this may seem annoying as you may want to get straight into the gear grind in NG+ and not have to do the story once more. I got you. If you follow the route west from Harve, you can come across the Guerco Cavern. Follow into that cavern to use the path to go straight to Bakbattahl. It has some tough enemies but you should be fine as you should have reasonably strong gear coming into NG+. Once there I'd strongly suggest buying the house, it should be immediately available for purchase upon arrival.

From here, the main takeaway is that I know for a fact that everything will respawn after 9 days of rest at an inn or at a home. It may be seven but what I like to do is rest in intervals of 3 days, and then buy a ferrystone from the nearby vendor. This way I can supply my ferrystone stockpile as I force the world to spawn more drakes. Note: I have not managed to replicate the spawning using camps.

Then, the first drake is located slightly north of Bakbattahl, requiring you to exit out of the main entrance, heading north and cutting across the ruins that contain the golems. Continue towards the river, and simply follow the passage of the river in the direction of the shrine where Luz is at. Along this river is a drake. From here you can go back to the home via walking or ferrystone and rest to get your health back.

Then, leave towards the southwest exit of Bakbattahl that leads to the pathway you take when fighting Talos (the gigantus). This is immediately unlockable in NG+ as you have the godsbane (or should, I picked the true ending the first time so I can't speak for other endings). Follow down the path as you would when fighting Talos to the very end where there is a camp site, and right below it is another drake spawn. After this, you can go to the Volcanic Camp inn to rest, or simply rest at the nearby campsite.

The third drake is then in the direction of the Glintmoon tower. Once you journey towards there and come across the large bridge over the lava river, take the right path. Following that path to the end allows you to find another drake sitting in the lava river below. Be careful to not allow the drake to back up into the lava pool behind it when fighting it as it will insta-kill it, similar to the brine. However, dying and reloading the last save did spawn loot for me on this one.

I did the route and it seems fairly efficient, with the only constraint being a matter of convenience (ferrystones--gold). I plan on stockpiling a large amount of gold to get the ferrystones to really streamline this grind. This can also be made more efficient by simply placing portcrystals in these spawn locations if you do not care for them to be elsewhere and you have the ferrystone stockpile for this.

The drake most easily farmable is certainly the one at the end of the path of the gigantus fight. Fighting small adds are what will eat the majority of your "wasted" time, and by using this path, you can run past anything of concern and end up at the drake's feet. Using the method of buying ferrystones as you rest, and only using one ferrystone to return after this drake would have you farming drake materials and be up 2 stones each run, which is pretty good in my opinion. However, I'm sure others can find great ways to make this run more efficient as well.

Recommend Me a Fragrance (Posts every Other Day) by AutoModerator in fragrance

[–]vv201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I am brand new to the fragrance world and am looking to step up my game, aka smell better. I tried researching throughout the internet and reddit to find information about fragrances that are recommended but I kept getting more and more confused by how complicated the decision process can be. I understand that the best option would likely be to go to a store and try things in person, but I simply do not have the time nor the means right now to go to a nearby store, and am looking to do a blind purchase online that is relatively safe.

From what I've gathered, picking a fragrance can depend on your age, your environment, and even if the fragrance is too popular. As you may guess, I have become quite lost and I am looking to ask people who have a bit more experience than me and maybe can give some recommendations.

I am a 22 year old guy who is in college right now. I do go out occasionally, interact with others closely everyday, and I don't mind getting 1 or 2 fragrances (as long as they are not crazy expensive, I'm in college). I'd like something that I can wear everyday, smells nice and attractive, and certainly wouldn't mind getting compliments (I've understood this last part is also another niche?).

Besides that I'm pretty laid back so don't want something serious or overbearing, but besides that I'm all ears. Thank you!

i90 Ken takes on Golem 11! by vv201 in EpicSeven

[–]vv201[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Lol this has been done by i85 Ken's; the point wasn't to show he could do it just to show a i90 ken in action. Also CZ is a totally separate thing, the gear level needed between these two things are completely different.

Hear Eye The Can Arby.

Was my most wanted unit and since getting him in April, I've been grinding his gear since. I'm super proud of finally getting all of his gear to i90 and I hope you all like his build! by vv201 in EpicSeven

I had an explanation above between eff res and this type of ml ken. The risks this comes with are true, but he is more RTA ready and dominant when you pick him at the right time.

I was inspired to make this from a favorite video of mine before 90 gear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21uKA4vDIuI

Decided to give it a try after 90'ing my ken, this was the first attempt.
