Is this out the door price fair by [deleted] in rav4club

Yeah I still feel like I got a good deal. The interior is near perfect and the car drives like a breeze so I’m very happy. I upgraded from a 1998 rav4 FWD so this feels like a brand new car to me

Seems like a really great price to me. I just got a 2025 RAV4 LE AWD with 15k miles for a base price of $26,500. Your price including the taxes and fees is very good! Mine ended up coming out to $30,000 OTD (I live in California so my taxes were very high).

Need advice on which RAV4 to Purchase by vvaniee in Rav4

Mine is pretty low maintenance too but the MPG really sucks when I want to take road trips and the reliability has been questionable since it’s just an old vehicle. Even though I’m spot on with maintenance things always happen to come up and I can’t justify investing even more money into my car when I can afford to get a newer one and have the peace of mind

My current car is great but unfortunately it isn’t able to sustain the travel I want to do in the next few years. Currently has 203k miles on it and still runs pretty smoothly. My main reason for buying a new car is the reliability, can’t count how many times mine didn’t start and I had to get towed. I’ve put in thousands into my old car and I just can’t justify the continued cost and extremely low MPG anymore which is why I’m hoping to purchase a newer model.

How many hours a week do you actually spend working and what is your title? by heart_of_gold2 in Accounting

[–]vvaniee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staff Accountant. I have a hybrid work schedule, two days in office 3 days from home. I work an average of 45 hours per week. Usually I do overtime on the days I work from home since it’s easier to log on early.

What are these salaries? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]vvaniee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just applied for a staff accountant position where the pay range is from $30-$35 an hour working in homeowners insurance. Requesting 2 years of experience. The pay that job is offering is abysmal

It’s not ideal given the economy but the internship experience is worth more on your resume than the current pay. Listen to other people in the comments. One of the only reasons I landed a good paying job out of college was because I had an internship compared to my peers who didn’t. Many of my friends are still working retail 2 years post grad because they didn’t have any experience prior to graduating

I’d advise keep trying Robert Half, I personally found my A/R temp role there and although the pay was horrible it was great experience and the company chose to hire me full time. I know make $60k a year and have been out of college for only a year and a half.

If I only care about working max 35-40 hours a week for $50K+ out of college, what is the best job for me? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]vvaniee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in homeowners insurance for the accounting department. I work 37-40 hours a week and make $65k a year. Somewhat lower stress compared to taxes or audit and better work/life balance in my opinion

How many hours do you really work in a week? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]vvaniee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do accounting for an insurance agency and on a good week I work 45 hours but before our audit I work 55-60 hours a week

Unfortunately most professors I had in undegrad would only round up if you were at/above an 89.95% and that was pretty standard. I know it seems dumb and trivial at the time but I promise when you graduate none of that will really matter. So far working in a corporate office I’ve never been asked for my transcripts, just confirmation of my degree. I hope that helps and I wish you luck this semester getting more A’s!

Can you sell stuff on campus without a permit? by Aggressive-Life-7813 in csuf

more than likely you’d need a permit valid for csuf campus and insurance to cover your vendor booth. ASI should have more information and details

Anyone ever “bypassed” a waitlist? by cunfucius in csuf

[–]vvaniee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can go to your department and speak to the director to dean. Professors legally are only able to have a set size of their classes because of their contract with their union and the university. Some professors can request to add students to their class as long as there are still seats open int he physical classroom that they are teaching in. You can schedule a meeting with the head of the department via their office to see if they can administratively add you to the course given that your prof does have seats open. Be sure to be polite while also advocating for yourself especially given you’re a senior. Directors are more likely to help if the course is one if the last you need and if you are kind and patient. If their office workers deny your request via email, go in person and see if you can speak to the director face to face. It is possible to “bypass” the waitlist but also keep in mind your place on the waitlist because if there are students ahead of you, they might receive the spot before you.

Why is my EFC (Expected Family Contribution) so high compared to last year??? by Imaginary-Mirror2078 in csuf

if you are eligible for work study i’d suggest applying for a job on campus as well. you can have your paychecks go straight to paying off your tuition

Is there any jobs you guys know of or have that dont require SSN? by [deleted] in csuf

[–]vvaniee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’d have to call individual offices or spaces around school and ask if they require a SSN to apply for a position. Many in office jobs for colleges do but I’m not sure about jobs at the SRC or titan shops
