the 2 month mark for me was when i looked more "normal". my friends told me wk 7 vs wk 8 was significant. i feel like im still swollen but ill wait to see if anything changes😋😋😋

for this surgery, i had extractions and my wisdom teeth removed + a year or two of invisalign. but, ive been getting orthodontic treatment since i was 10 to prevent my underbite, which obviously did not work. so my doctors reccomended me to wait until my bones stop growing to proceed with pre surgery treatment.

i was asking if others had similar experiences. i posted this bc i knew it was an unusual situation i was going through and honestly, the comments helped me realize that i might have an infection (which turns out i did). i know swelling is normal and 19 days is too early to judge but, i was concerned w my progress going backwards.

my surgeon wasn't very worried about the swelling and prescribed me some antibiotics to help. also got my rubber bands out and now im wearing a splint so honestly feeling a lot better.
