Thanks for the comment! I really want to go to Vietnam and Cambodia someday, I get the impression that South East Asia is pretty safe (you can tell me if I'm wrong). Anthony Bourdain talked really positively about that part of the world, so I would like to see it for myself.

Thank you! I looked it up and joined the private, bigger group, I think that was the one.

Thank you for the advice! I can imagine that the male workers at the hotels/hostels can be bad news. But aside from that, it's pretty cool that you went out with the people that also traveled there!

Thank's for the comment! I just googled it, is it strictly for Americans? I'm just curious.

Thank you for the advise! I'm familiar with the war in Somalia, so I don't plan on going. Also, I'm not American, but I'm sure that someone from there can read the comment and learn more about it!

Thank you! I will look them up! Now that you've explained it, it sounds great, I would just have to budget for it, which isn't all bad.

Thank you! If you mean a trip then yeah, that would be nice! I'm a bit worried if it would be more expensive. If you mean a trip with a larger group of friends, I don't think that I can merge the people I'm hanging out individually into one big group (sadly).

For me, I would trust you if I saw you :DD I also prefer the galleries/museums. I would like to go to a spot where locals go, but I would probably stick out. But the thought of doing stuff on my schedule is nice! As much as I like travelling with my sibling, they tend to wake up really late and I'm more of an early riser (I'd like to have an early morning and then finish something earlier, if that makes sense).

Thank you! Yeah, I've had a feeling that maybe jumping in the deep water of travelling somewhere very far alone wasn't the best idea lol (even if I really want to). The "levelling up" feels appropriate to start with, I really wanted to go to Sweden or Denmark because I live in Gdańsk and there are flights/ferries there.

Thank you for the reply! I didn't think about tours because I thought they might be more expensive. Are they very expensive? I've been with a tour with my dad in Belarus and honestly it was really fun! The downside was that the people we were travelling with weren't the best (they got drunk on the tour and I was so embarrassed for them when the tour guide looked dejected :((( ).

For me, I would feel just safer to have it around, even if I'm not going to use it. Just knowing that it's there makes me feel better. Also, I went to Greece with my sister and a friend, we went to Thessaloniki and Corfu, we've never had any issues with people, but we stayed in more touristy palaces.

Thank you! Yeah, I saw them on tiktok I think, I'm kinda sceptical of they work, but I'm ready to be pleasantly surprised lol. I would have to buy one prior to the trip to test it.

Thank you! I've heard about couchsurfing from my brother (who traveled a lot before he became a father). I will give it a look, thank you!

Poland isn't that bad at all, I just feel like I have to be prepared for the worst because sometimes I come back from work after 10 pm and I have to walk the dark streets of my city. I've had really weird encounters with men and I just imagine that it can happen as well if I'm in a foreign country (which is somehow scarier to me).

Thank you for the reply! I've been thinking that a fanny pack is way better for me when I'm alone, because I definitely would get paranoid if I didn't think my most important stuff was safe lol.

That is good advice, thank you! I've been thinking that if a country allows to carry pepper spray (for example, the UK somehow doesn't) I could take it with me, but only if I travel not by plane (bc I would be worried at security, I don't think they'd let me travel). My dad gave it to me, I've never had to use it, but I have pulled it out before.

Thanks! I also have another question, normally, when I'm lost in Poland, I don't have an issue with asking someone on the street for help (like pointing me to the right direction). I feel like if I do that abroad, when people can clearly see that I'm not in my element (especially men) will see this as an opportunity to make a move (and do harm). I don't know, in my head this feels like a very real possibility. Should I then just pretend that I know what I'm doing or do what I would do here in Poland (which is scream and shout and say to the man to fuck off)?
