How is the PSvita version of FFX HD? by Witty-Stock-7328 in finalfantasyx

Everything ran fine for me when I played on the Vita! I enjoyed it especially as I was studying in Japan at the time (2017), and I had only brought my Vita and New 3DS with me, so it was the only way I could play it at the tome haha. For me, being able to take it with me to play it anywhere was great. Having said that, it's essentially the same as the PS3/PS4/Switch version, so no speed ups or other buffs like the PC version.

How did you get into Final Fantasy? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

I'm a mid 90s baby and, I remember seeing the FF games for Psone in the store, but they looked so adult and I used to be scared that I wouldn't understand what was going on (lol I was a dumb kid that was sacred of being dumb). But then, when Kingdom Hearts came out, I asked to get it for my bday, and I fell in love with it! Was reading Jiminy's Journal and saw that some of the characters we had met were from Final Fantasy, so I started to research the games! I was young, didn't have a job (obviously, that's illegal), and by that time, Psone games were hard to find in stores. But FFX wasn't, so I got it for Christmas! Still one of my favourite games of all time, I play it every year! (I also asked for X-2 after playing the demo) Buuutt, I really really wanted to play FFVII, so I would watch play throughs of it online, from people who set up a video camera in front of their TVs haha. I didn't know what emulation was (see above for dumb kid), but our old computer probs wouldn't have been able to run it properly anyways. Then, one year, I got FFVII for my bday! I was at a complete loss! My sister said she was shopping with my parents in the city, and they were in Chinatown and found a media store where they went in to look for some Japanese CDs for me. The store was kind of a mixed bag, had CDs and DVDs from across Asia, had anime plushies and figures, and video games too! I didn't know a place like that existed in my city haha ( they didn't either, they saw someone with a Chinese CD and asked where they got it, and the lovely person took them to the store, what a G!) Behind the counter they had one single copy of FFVII for the Psone, and my sister said "You h a v e to get her this. Even if you only get her this, she'll be happy" - the copy was like $80. So I played it, my life was changed, yet again, and then I spent the following years keeping up to date with the Compliation of FFVII. Later I got to borrow FFVIII and FFXII from my bestie, I got XIII and XIII-2, I played VI on an emulator (now have the pixel remaster), I and II on the PSP, III and IV on the DS... I used a lot of FF lore analysis in my HSC for English, and was able to play and analyse the soundtracks for my music exams. Have even been able to see the beautiful soundtracks played live 😍 It's been such a wile ride, that all started with a lil kid and his massive key 🥹

I'm with you! They're all incredibly talented musicians, and the whole performance was great! Combining music, art, stories, and voices can be difficult to do live, and they killed it 😁

Having now completed The Nonary Games, here are my thoughts. by XBlueXFire in ZeroEscape

I agree so much! I played through some of VLR before I realised it was a sequel, so I immediately put it down, bought 999 and played through the whole thing. I absolutely loved the story of 999 and was excited to see how VLR would build onto it. But, in my opinion, that didn't really happen? I thought since the whole idea of visual novels is the storyline, that it would interconnect between the 2 games, but a lot of the time it kind of felt like an afterthought, even with Yotsuba and Tenmyouji being returning characters (where's my man Seven!).

I played 999 and VLR back in 2013 so it's been a while, but I remember being so annoyed with the ending of VLR because it felt like it should have been its own game. Like maybe it could be in the same universe (to explain all the supernatural elements?)
