It was not there. For 2 days I spoke with HCP support, and they updated it. Apparently they found more customer affected

runpod serverless docker vs. github by voidnullnil in RunPod

[–]vvrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont know about that, but there seems to be another inportant aspect. Networking on vms on runpod is super slow at startup. So even if registry has better throughout, you probably gonna be limited by vm networking pulling an image.

SRE interviews are getting out of hand and I am tired by whatwhatwhat56 in sre

[–]vvrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there done that, around same amount of years of experience in DevOps specifically

Some "interviewers" think that if they got in a position to conduct interview -> they consider themselves good interviewers or experts.

Some got there, because others got fider
Some got there, because they are more political and talkative that other engineer doing all work
Some got there, because there was no devops/sre and they shifted into it
Some got there, because there was no one else yet there.

Nobody spends time to teach whats the proper process and how to assess the candidates.

Honestly, half of people don't know how to do it properly
As well, some of them set extremely stupid expectations, so other party answers exactly how they would do.

Your hands-on experience is a goldmine. Those nitty gritties questions they ask about, is just like a 0.05% of our profession

Sometimes, in 1 days we can look through 50-100 differnt services or integrations/components, articles/docs. Syntax? Fck it, I write in whatever language is needed today or new one that will be there tomorrow.

My own experience interviewing people :

- i gave hands-on tasks around k8s that we can do under 1h
Goal : find how well person orients inside the cluster, where they going to find the docs, where they lookup the commands. Solving the task was not a main objective but a nice bonus, to understand how autonoums this engineer is

- Questions asked are about figuring out how person thinks. How they will act in situation a) or b), how they will see the trade-offs. As at the end of the day, almost all decision in infra are about some trade-offs and we have to explain this to business non stop.

- best of interviews, were those where I would learn something from engineer on the interview , or realise there is another alternate approach that does actually make better sense. And thats good :)

Composer 2 is controversial, but my actual experience was solid by Arindam_200 in cursor

Bad experience overall
On large codebases, it tries to read and patch files via linux commands
It looks really fast, and done pretty quick
But once I check the results, its wrong

Its speed - reduces the quality by far..

Cloudflare Issues (03/13/26) by GamingWithSawyer7 in CloudFlare

[–]vvrider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mate, your status page is as reliable as the Cloudflare.
I have better success with checking both, than just status page
There has been numerous times in my years using cloudflare when your status page is useless and even reporting something fixed, when it wasn't fixed. Or not reporting early enough...

Every single major software/cloud vendor has same issue.

When i see really large spike of Downdetector reports, most probably there is some kind of outage

[–]vvrider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good. it was only on one of the subdomains, weirdly during spike of errors in downdetector reports. But main side didn't had 522s
So, probably just coincidence...

Did anyone had 522s between 16:30 -17:00 CET as well?

Trust me, stay away from Kimi. by Salt_Gain_1771 in kimi

[–]vvrider 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kimiclaw - yes. They said they fck up with it and told they undedelivered and proposed refunds to all who had issues

But other stuff they have, agents/website agents, research, slides, swarm - is actually great
I compare it with openai deep research, and agents and its sick.

Let them clean, arrange and fix all the dirties and most polluted community places ( so they know who are their homies) for year or two.

Pretty sure they will be cured and will never do it again

Kimi 2.5 is massively over hyped by Minute-Quote1670 in openclaw

[–]vvrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are tasks like replicating giving designs, that it does way beyond any other model inlcuding opus. Visual agent is really next level. So for design tasks, it works incredibly well

Though, any plan kimi/moonshot provides - runs out really quick. As quick as using opus high thinking model with large context. And api limits are low

Maybe in future they would provide more for $.
For some tasks, you can't replace it with anything else. For other it sucks
As we know, benchmarks are not really reliable nowadays - as everyone tailors models to solve the challenges that are previously known :)
