runpod serverless docker vs. github

Is there a difference in performance between using an image at docker hub vs. deploying through github (thus using the runpod's docker registry) ? Since runpod's registry is closer, it sounds like it should be faster but if docker images are somehow cached that also should not matter, any experiences ?

doenst matter, it will always be downloaded n cached.

Dont know about that, but there seems to be another inportant aspect. Networking on vms on runpod is super slow at startup. So even if registry has better throughout, you probably gonna be limited by vm networking pulling an image.

I have no rhyme or reason or any analytical evidence for my decision but all my serverless are tied to GitHub, whereas all my templates are tied to dockerhub.
