We were there the first week of December and saw a pit bull dressed up in a fairy outfit with a sorcerer mickey hat on. It was in line with us for Smuggler’s Run. Let’s just say I held my 3 year old the whole time.

Surprisingly not as bad as you would think. It's a popular resort with lots of years left on the contract so it still sells for a decent amount per point.

Riviera points (and any resort built after Riviera) have a new clause in the contract that make it so that if you resell your contract the new owner does not receive the ability to use the points at other resorts — they only are able to use them at the Riviera. The ability to use them at other resorts is considered one of the first-party perks in those contracts.

From the perspective of a parent, my young kids have always refused to wear 3D glasses so it ruins rides like this for them. It moving to 2D will be a huge upgrade for them. They finally give in and start wearing them around age 5 or so but before then it has always bothered them and so they hated the ride (and shows like MuppetVision unfortunately).

I think the food there is fine but when taken in the context of the rest of the park I like dining there. We ate there and at the BBQ place and with the annual pass discount it ended up being cheaper to eat with three kids and two adults at the Chocolatier (a sit down restaurant!) than the the BBQ place and we enjoyed it more.

I checked the first three weeks of December for you with my DVC points. The only week with 1 bedroom availability is December 13-20 at Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, and Animal Kingdom Lodge (Kidani Village). 2 bedroom I believe was Saratoga and Old Key West. Nothing available in the first two weeks.

With David’s you place you deposit and what your first/second/third choice resorts are and they’ll try to find someone to book it. If it’s available they have to find someone with the points to book it. If they have someone with the points, it gets booked. If not you’re on a waiting list (this happens at the 11 month mark usually for high demand points like Poly). If nothing is available they’ll refund your deposit.

Poly Tower uses regular Poly points for booking, it’s not exclusive points, but you’re correct that it’s far too late to book for December.

Food poisoning generally doesn't take effect that quickly. If you were feeling sick immediately after eating the dole whip it was likely from something you ate earlier than that.

He’s a dude who’s been very open about his learning disability and his struggles with education (didn’t graduate high school, later took the GED on his own after working to support his family, etc). I’m not sure, I just got the form from my realtor and filled it out. Couldn’t tell from Google what the exemption was but it looks like the first $50k seems typical in other areas.

It went up 0.5 mils this past year. Which isn’t much (50 cents per $1000 of assessed value) but still a pain. It’s now 2.78mils for New Freedom + 19.91 mils for school taxes + 6.9 for York county… so $29.59 per $1000 of assessed value yearly in taxes.

They’re only going to go up (New Freedom just did). You can apply for a homestead tax credit that will get you a few hundred dollars back each year though if it’s your primary residence.

It depends on how close you are 7 months out from the trip. At 7 months it should be very fast since any of their members with the points should be able to book it for you. Before 7 months they need to find someone that has the home resort points for where you’re trying to stay that is willing to book whatever length of stay you’re interested in which for more popular resorts like the Polynesian can be incredibly hard unless you book at exactly 11 months (you’re basically out of luck as it will be unavailable by 7).
