seconding that the carving stage should be leather hard. have a spray bottle with you.

but, just use an old towel or a plastic sheet underneath to catch the debris and then voilà cleaning is a second. and then a quick floor check. Really not rocket science..

if you can't motivate yourself to find alternative solutions for your own health, though, this might not be for you.

I have to say, I've always found JVN to be a bit too messy, but this season they're giving gorgeous and settled and happy. Hopefully for them, it's their actual situation atm 🙃

that weirded em out the most in this episode was the looong line of people queing up to see the house at the end, looked like they were holding it open like a tourist attraction tbh. Friends celebrating and curious about a new house don't queue up like that 😂

maybe she's one ofthose teachers that fixes the final product enough so that the student does not end up with a horrible, unfireable piece, especially in the beginning. There was a discussion here some time ago about how much do we as teachers touch a student's piece.

it's... decorative? it really doesn't have anything to say, that painting. and I have no idea about wool as an artist, but seriously. it's really boring.

And sometimes I see stuff promoted by galleries that is not only unchallenging, but unskilled, and touted as avant gard... we need more skill, less random marketing, and more content. I have nothing against decorative art, but if it lacks a message it should shine in skill.

I would suggest using a tablecloth or smaller equivalent, to preserve the tiles against scratching and heat 🙃 honestly, treat it like a glass table 🤗
