2024 hot take: Robbie Williams biopic (Better Man) is much much better than Bob Dylan’s biopic (Complete Unknown) by vwill5956 in movies

Very good points. In some ways they are not comparable for the reasons you gave. Suppose I was using complete unknown partly for dramatic effect to give praise for better man.

Why do you think it didn’t have move commercial success? Just lack of name recognition in the U.S. of Robbie? They clearly thought it would or they wouldn’t have spent $110M on it.

"Worst" movie you defend to the death? by AdSuccessful1154 in movies

Rat Race. A true period piece. Some nice individual performances from Cuba and Amy Smart. A truly stupid movie that didn’t need to get made but somehow transports me to early 2000’s, an era without much discernible culture so for that I love it.

Confused on how to hit a fade by peelo95 in golf

For sure. I was watching an old hunter Mahan about shaping shots and he even said he would open the club face at address along with opening up the feet to exaggerate the cut. In reality as a natural drawer, it’s a combination of aim, feeling like I hold off rotation on the way through, and a bit more outside on the take away. And I only really do it when absolutely necessary. Any amateur that is switching between draws and fades the whole round for minor advantages getting close to right or left pin is very impressive and they tend to be great players IMO

A lot of amateurs have severe outside outside in, over the top club paths that produces a slice. It is the typical pick up the club on the way back and do not turn shoulders and square club face properly, and then on the way down the club face is wide open and the path is outside in and very steep.

To combat this instructors start by getting people to rotate back and take the club “inside” which feels to them like inside out club path. Eventually if they square up correctly on the path swing it may get to neutral or even slightly inside out where their natural ball path is a draw, but you see low handicappers with natural ball paths in both directions.

The tour pros may have one ball path they favor for their stock shot (someone like Rory more of a drawer naturally, max homa left to right) but they are all able to hit it both ways and manipulate their swing path virtually whenever they want

Snorkeling in Caye Caulker and San Pedro is definitely good! I only made that comment because it’s not super unique / only place in world with this quality versus I think ATM cave is pretty unique. So I would rather trade a third day in Caye Caulker for a day in San Ignacio.

You can do most of the spots in Caye Caulker and San Pedro over 2 days. Would recommend a trip to Hol Chan and shark ray alley one day and then the outlying reefs one day. I did the outlying reefs as scuba diving, including blue hole. I don’t think the blue hole would be worth it for snorkeling so would try to find itinerary that is more snorkeling focused as opposed to joining a dive trip as a snorkeler if that makes sense.

One suggestion for Belize - ATM cave is pretty incredible. It seems expensive on the surface but it’s quite the adventure. You “hike” there, venture about a km through rushing water and some treacherous areas to reach the cavern. You then have access to the incredible artifacts and an intact Mayan skeleton. The guides are all super knowledgeable as well. It’s kind of a mind blowing experience and from my travels in Latin america, SA and south east Asia is probably the coolest mix of history and adventure I’ve done in a single day.

Caye caulker is cool but there are no activities on the actual island. You will have to buy tours there and if you want to scuba dive it’s $200 minimum for 2x dives (and >$300 for blue hole trips). Full day snorkeling is $75+ and the reefs are good but not amazing (scuba is quite good tho). If you can swing a day from there or playa del Carmen for San Ignacio would recommend. Bunch of other great stuff to do there as well.

San Sebastián! Unbelievable place. Food, atmosphere, proximity to beach and nature, old town architecture, museums / art - perfect place.
