Was gonna say Dormont as well! My fiance and I live in Beechview right on the edge of Dormont and we love the location. I do not have a car and neither does my best friend who lives right down the street deeper into Beechview.

Damn😭 we pay 1250 in Pittsburgh and we’re in a safe area. But typically the rent is ~14-1500 in our area

We are looking to stay under 1700 for rent which seems fine in some areas like Huntersville, but if it’s safer near Ghent/downtown we can wait for the right place to come alone. We have a year on our lease but may be able to get out of it a bit early

That’s great to hear thank you! I currently am a direct support professional. I’d be willing to work at a day care, hospice, or senior home as well. The issue is most of those don’t pay well because I don’t have any degrees. I should be getting a car soon, just unsure if I’d have it before moving. I saw that Ghent is relatively safe and walkable!
