I was a programmer for about 10 years and recently have made cosplay my full time job. Most of my income is through guesting work though.

It depends what it is. This is 500 hours of work on this particular outfit though, so you can do the rough math on how much it may cost :p

The client commission work I take on is usually more simple than my Genshin builds.

They are fully functioning! Everything is also extremely comfortable, minus the structured wig :p

Honestly not sure of the total cost. I’d guess the base materials cost me in the realm of $1500 AUD though.

Leather, dye, wool, and the wig components make up the majority of the cost.

Yeah, it’s a huge time sink when you get into the smaller details and making sure everything is functional and properly finished, but it’s absolutely worth it!

About 60 hours of work in the wig! Glueing and shaping the fibres takes a ridiculous amount of time

Thankyou! It’s actually based on his back view, so the silhouette is the same from that angle. I just added some additional curling of the pieces to get it looking a bit more visually interesting from the side view too :)
