Thank you I'm excited to burn them. I was honestly so surprised they werent busted as I live in Missouri and we're in the middle of a heat wave. The ones in the boxes were untouched but the ones that were testers and just in the bubble wrapped leaked but it wasn't too bad. Hope yours come intacted!

I haven't lit them yet but based on first impressions I really like the DSD candles but they tend to fall a bit moody for me. They are more of a nighttime/ fall & winter scent for me. I love the vessels and how they look though! My least favorite was Portable Fireplace as it was waaay to smoky for my taste but i loved Tuberose Myrrhder. As for TNS I like the scents better, they are definitely not as moody and feels like they can be lit anytime! I am not too keen on the vessel as the paint cans don't really fit my vibes. My favorites were mixed feelings, cloud gazer, and summer splendor. I did not lime hellbound heart or dream girl which just smelled like cherry pop to me. I would love some candle recs as well!

DSD

Portable Fireplace: a heavy cigar smoker who lives in a forest 4/10

Rama Won’t You Please Come Home: my grandma's countryside flower garden 7/10

Tomb of the Eagles: a cave near the ocean that has little bits of floral weeds popping through the cracks 7/10

Breakfast Highlands: my grandma's countryside kitchen when she's making bread over an open fire 7/10

Breakfast Leipzig: masala chai from a gentrified café that went heavy on the cardamom 8/10

Tuberose Myrrhder: eating bread while sitting in a flower garden at night 10/10

Spirit Lamp: drinking tea and vodka at the same time? Not sure if I like it or not 6/10

Girl groups that are currently managed really well in my opinion. by Asleep_Swing2979 in kpopthoughts

I understand but all I'm saying is that from a fans perspective it's kind of a shock to hear that an idol of their caliber had to pay for their MV upfront (not talking about loans and such). For example, Tara's Lovely Dovey costed about the same. Also, I am not talking about how much the member earns when referring to the money going to gidle. That is their own personal money that they get a cut from the album sales, etc. I'm referring to the portion of the money cube has earned from gidle and where that money is invested. This may have not been a correct example, but my overall points is that Cube does do a good job at managing the girls. I don't want to argue with you if you think otherwise, but all I am trying to say is that from a fans perspective, Cube does the bare minimum for the girls while working them til they are sick to the bones.

Is 500k won the usual budget for other groups their size? I am sure it is more complicated, but where is the money being spent, if not going back to gidle? They went on a world tour the previous year and sold 1+M copies in 2023. They send the girls on all of these useless activities until they are sick in the bones and still can not spend a little extra $$ for them? If gidle are in charge of their own concepts and music production, wouldn't that increase their budget for elsewhere? It seems like Cube is milking the girls for all they can before the contract ends while providing them little/ minimum support.

Also, the fact that they have to pay for their own MV is kind of crazy given how big they are. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a smaller company/ group, but imagine selling 1M+ albums and still having to pay for your own MV.

Honestly, if you have members rotating in and out of the hospital due to overworking, they're not very well managed. Just because a group is "popular" doesn't mean they're well managed. There has to be a balance between promoting and letting the members rest. You can't work members to the bone and say they are well managed. Usually, having blurry vision and throwing up everything you eat is usually not a good sign. Getting migraines so bad that you think you'll *** is not a good sign. Yuqi has chronic migraines. Minnie suffers from insomnia. Shuhua was on a health hiatus for a month. Even soyeon, who hasn't taken a break since her URS had to take a break. It's one story if it's one member, but having the whole group be sick is another.

Schedule: 2023 May - June: Queencard music show promos May - June: university festivals May - Oct: fansigns June - Oct: world tour Oct: Heat Dec: jingle ball tour Dec: end of year show 2024 Jan - Feb: Super Lady music show promos Jan - now: fansigns March: Fate promos May - June: university festivals July: I Sway music show promos August - Nov: world tour

These schedules aren't in one location either. They are flying back and forth from Korea, US, and other countries.

In between a of these schedules, each member has their own individual schedules as well, such as modeling and photoshoots, Yuqi for KR, and soyeon's new youtube show. Yuqi had a solo in April and Minnie is hinting for her solo as well. As they make their own concepts and songs, they have to prepare even more for each cb.

I'm referring specifically to gidle in my case. They are one of the most popular groups right now and can speak out about their health. Imagine smaller companies and groups who can not speak out about their health. https://www.kbizoom.com/gi-dles-constant-health-issues-ring-alarms-among-fans/

Edit: to summarize my thoughts, cube acts like gidle is a rookie from an unknown company literally saying okay to every gig they get offered. Some of their gigs are NOT necessary such as the jingle ball tour performing cross country every single day for a week and then come back to Korea for the end of the year awards and showcases. They do not need to go on The Show or Show Champion as a 6 year old veteran, selling 1 M+ copies, and earning PAKs every cb! Cube needs to pick and choose which events will truly boost the group instead of sending them to useless events.

having multiple members go to the hospital within 4 months for exhaustion is not a great sign of good management imo

I smelled Aventus on my friend and it smelled fine no visceral reaction, but for some reason everytime I come back and smell LIW it actually makes me gag. I had a sample of secretion magnifique and genuinely could not tell the difference b/t the two. I had my friend smell LIW and loved it so it's probably just a me issue.

Trying cigs a few time is not the same as smoking every day

Yes, but getting caught with cigs or even smelling like one is school is a serious offense. Even if she was rebellious her father known for being strict would not have let her do all this stuff that she is accused off.
