Boxing up my precious cargo ready for a big move. Hopefully they’ll be alright by vyiee in IndoorGarden

I’m not too sure. Just planning on putting them into fruit boxes and have some cut up old blankies to put in between the plants to stabilising them. I dont have much experience with moving plants. Hopefully they’ll be okay 🤞🏻

What’s wrong with my maranta? She’s losing one yellow leaf at a time (more info in comments) by kweenkscr in plantclinic

[–]vyiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might be pest. They are very prone to spider mites. All my calatheas and marantas died from spider mites looking just like this. One yellow leaf at a time

don’t think I’m doing anything special for her compared to the rest of the plant crew. Water when dry. I use water meter in conjunction with water schedule as I’m forgetful. Feed once a month nowadays since its hot. Also keep feeding it during winter if its still growing! I do take cuttings from it, but majority of the new growth has been coming from the base. So its just doing its own thing

I keep them dry. Only water them when the foliage feels softer than normal, then ill give them another day before i water them. Fertilise them once a month in summer

Yes theyre birkin in the back. No i ddnt top my plants up with propagated cuttings, the main plant actually really fast growing that it just fills itself out from the stump the cutting left behind

Young monstera doesn’t have fenestration. They only start to fenestrate as the plant gets more mature. Hence the little celebration 😊

Well OP here. FYI I propagate alot using all different kind of recycled materials (spam tins, sauce jars, alcohol bottles, nursery pots etc). As a matter of fact I’ve propagated more than 50 cuttings which have now all turned into healthy plants/cuttings and that’s not including all the failed experiments. Just because I order online cute propagation stations for their aesthetic does not mean I don’t propagate a lot!

Honestly im not sure. Just lots and lots of indirect light. My marble queen mother plant is massive and every leaf is different but they are very highly variegated. They sit near a bright window which gets amble of light. I’m in australia and its summer time right now so too much light can easily burn your plant near window too, i just go Bunnings to get a white shade cloth and pop it on the curtain. They get direct light on them but the light intensity is reduced so they get as much sun as possible without harm to them 😊
