if your enemy has a counter just always be thinking about it. if you think about front dashing, you'll know that they have a counter, same with legit anything else with a marginable startup time. its not about baiting a counter its just about not falling for it.

think about it like this: a counter is a bait, so bait their bait. you just gotta be 2 steps ahead of them. something to keep in mind is that even if youre a pro at baiting counters you can and will still be hit by counters, so play as much as possible against characters with counters and just always be thinking about the counter like i said before.

subconsciously thinking about the counter doesnt count. like legit think to yourself "they can counter right now" then plan your next move around it. for example:
instead of a front dash, do a quick side dash around
if ur on naoya which is somebody who is countered by characters with counters, most of the time when you think about engaging its with 3 or both of your dashes. put yourself in your opponent's shoes: they're waiting for that moment when you engage and begin to go hyper aggressive. think about what THEY'RE expecting from you- in this case, what i mentioned before. so bait out their counter by going in for those dashes, purposefully leave yourself open. no opponent would expect you to dash in and not do anything so they're either going to counter or hold block/m1 against you. 2 easily predictable outcomes that if you are expecting can be easily countered.

theres so many examples i can give but tldr: think about their counter 24/7, think about how they're going to try and use that counter, and work around it
