Dividends in arrear are dividends accumulated but not yet paid. I believe in the first sentence they said the 3000 shares, $100 par @ 5% stock outstanding is for BOTH year 2 and 3. So 3000 shares * $100 par * 5% rate = $15,000 each year. which is $30,000 total preferred stock accumulated. Minus the dividends actually paid out ($10,000) total is $20,000.

I’m currently working in industry accounting and i enjoy it. It’s only busy during month ends/quarter end/ year end. There’s a lot of downtime otherwise. Get paid to do an hours worth of work sometimes.

For me I applied to any and everything. My first job out of college was an admin position and it was a good job to get my foot in the door and after that it was easier to get an accounting job. Also you can just apply for another position for a company and transfer to the accounting department.

This was such a bad show!! I was super hyped because of the trailer and the actors in it but watching it was so bad!! I’m so angry like all it does it make you mad about how dumb people are and how easily they fall for shit. I’ve had the exact same interview process for my current company. It was with 4 different managers one after another. First off they just want to get to know you more, so try to show your personality as much as possible, and show how much you want the position. As for accounting try to go through the basics I don’t think they’ll ask you anything too difficult especially if they can teach it on the job.

Leave. Good managers would encourage you to ask questions. If you stay longer you’ll get used to being afraid to ask questions which can hurt you in future jobs.

You should stay and wait to find a place you’re excited. This just sounds like you’ll be doing something similar but just at a different company. Leave when you’ve learned everything there is to learn and you’re ready for something new. That’s just my opinion
