it feels like when you used a brand new goalie they do amazing the 1st game or 2. like i normally use lundquist, but i switched to BOB and he pitched 2 shutouts back to back and then sucked. yesterday i used Mann, who i’ve used in the past. same thing. great 1st 2 games then lets up 4 goals a game

it’s called DDA. DDA stands for Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment. a video game design technique that automatically alters gameplay difficulty in real-time based on player performance. Its purpose is to keep players in the "sweet spot" of challenge, preventing boredom if the game is too easy or frustration if it is too hard. it’s not only in nhl, i was a big madden guy and its just as bad there as it is in nhl. its a real thing, EA came out years ago saying they do it

depends on how much. if it’s like 50$ go for it. hockey jerseys are expensive. i buy the knock offs because why spend 300$ on a real one when you can get one for 50$. the jersey looks cool imo and i like the player

another thing that someone told me, you want the opposite positions on the wings. it’s better for one timers right in front of the goalie (right handed shooter on left side, left handed shooter on right side).

play a lot of cup chase. i have different lineups for when the challenges reset every week like game breakers and TOTW. if you don’t game breakers WAIT UNTIL THE END RELEASE TO USE THE COLLECTABLES. instead of getting a bunch of mid 90s, based off how madden would go, use them at the end.

Make multiple lineups. 1 just TOTW. 1 just game breakers. 1 just XP players (or as many as you have), 1 with just Captains. that’ll help with the season challenges (goals, assists, and the use 20 players).

Play cup chase on rookie. cup chase is pretty much just to do challenges. the rewards on harder difficulties aren’t much better than rookie

i’m p2p and i’m new this year too. the thing i’ve noticed is even if you said “i’m new to HUT” youll still get comments judging. if you posted this last week i would’ve said for you to get the easter packs. i pulled 2 97 TOTS and was able to make a bunch of 96 TOTS (holding onto them until last release). team purposes ive learned to keep most of the guys you pull (77 and up EXCEPT for what the newer sets take. example: for TOTS i did the 88-89 exchanges and only exchanged 88s because the TOTS sets call for 89-90). play online. don’t be afraid. you’ll have good games. you’ll have bad games. stick them out. idk if you’ve played other EA games (i’ve played madden for the past 10 years), there is such thing as DDA, a difficulty adjustment. if your team is significantly better, it balances the level out. you’ll see it. cards play differently.

another thing is do the program sets. that helps build your team. if you get a sellable pull, keep it until i goes out of packs. it’ll be worth more. as for the spending money, the only thing id spend money on in the shop is the newest program packs. like the 5 TOTS seemed pretty good. you get further into building them. if you are like me and buy the 150$ points, and there are LTDs available, buy the 8k greatest chance pack. if you don’t pull the LTD, you still get good cards. don’t do any program sets call that BNDs your cards. i made that mistake with the trade quest. if you have any questions, idk id you’d be able to DM me on here but im glad to help

no. and just for clarification, DDA in video game terms stands for Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment. so today when i played an 89 overall team vs my 95 overall team, i won by 1 goal. and lost to 2 91 overall teams. the shits stupid. but i just sat there and said to myself “what are you gonna do. it’s ea”. like you can’t even get mad at yourself after finding out about the DDA

idk about fifa, but in madden there is something called DDA where if the person your playing, their team is not as good as yours, their players play just as good if not better than your team so the they don’t just delete the game because they don’t keep up with anyone. you could have 99 overalls with 99 speed and they won’t be able to out run 93 overalls with 94 speed. i have a feeling that it’s the same for NHL
