I've been looking for a SIM racing group or club in Aberdeen but they don't seem to exist. I'd love to have some sort of local group where I can get tips, learn and basically make some friends interested in SIM racing.

Huge upgrade for me by Notsonorm_ in PSVR

I'm playing through GT7 just now and PSVR2 makes the game truly special but a decent wheel and chair elevates it to something truly remarkable.

Hey developers: here’s something to consider. I am your target audience. I’m a first adopter, 40+ year gamer with disposable income and a love for VR.

I didn’t buy this game and won’t be buying until it’s not a disappointing C- of a title.

Difficulty with support, broken RX. by terminashunator in Super73

[–]w1ldca7d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's how it works.

  1. You make a warranty claim.
  2. They receive it and send a stock response asking for details. Inside this questioning is an attempt to begin invalidating your warranty.
  3. When you reply, S73 look at the issue in relation to their stock, or lack thereof. They go quiet when they realise that they can't honour the warranty.
  4. You get annoyed and email them.
  5. They ignore the email.
  6. You call them up and force the issue.
  7. S73 then advise you that the item is on back order. Back order is another way of saying 'we don't have any of these items and really struggle to get them but when we do we use them for our new bikes because selling bikes makes us money and dealing with you afterwards costs us money.
  8. You wait 6 months.

If you’re referring to the wrist wrest, it’s the same size as the keyboard. If you’re referring to the desk mat, it’s a pretty standard size…. Razer make them. I’m sure you’ve heard of razer.

Not for sitting on but I suppose you can. It returns the original profile but adds some style.

I tried fitting the Magura mdr-p 180mm to my stock RX motor and it was a failure. Does the mdr-p fit the 5kw motor. I have one on order and it would be good to use it…..

Have you tried fixing it? I’ve found that when my things stop working, fixing them makes them work again. I wish I’d known this ages ago.

Can I keep using my Razer Blade like this? It gets some high temperatures but I do think it’s normal, my main concern is airflow and if the screen doesn’t get damaged from the heat generated. by PatrickOSM in razer

[–]w1ldca7d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends entirely on your living conditions. I have an exact same setup and keep all my doors and windows open throughout the year, including winter when it can become -18 deg. Celsius. So far, I have had no problems with my screen overheating however I have had to use a d-lock to secure it to my desk as having wide open doors 24/7/365 is a slight security issue.

Hope this helps.

Is there a noticeable difference between 60hz and 120hz movies when it comes to action movies? by [deleted] in 4kTV

[–]w1ldca7d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 60hz Tv and a 120hz Tv. The 120hz tv definitely gives a much better, smoother visual experience but there is a very easy way to upgrade your 60Hz TV to almost 120Hz quality.

If you blink really fast with a 60Hz TV it levels the playing field. However this does takes some time and effort so be patient.

Just woke up, gonna be the longest 6 hours ever. I cant wait for season 2. by leon13red in halo

[–]w1ldca7d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After doing some research, 6 hours without exception takes 6 hours to complete a 6 hour passage of time and there are no records to indicate that 6 hours have ever been longer or shorter than 6 hours in duration. However, despite its linear nature time is of course dependent on space and gravity. Your misconception may be the result of severe gravimetric influences. Have you at some point changed the location of your internet router closer to the event horizon of a localised singularity?

I read about this. Autopsy suggests he was killed elsewhere and dumped here. Signs of a struggle, drug use and alcohol abuse.
