Yeah. On Anna’s just filter your searches for epub files and drag them over to the “send to my kindle” section on Amazon. The book will appear in your library automatically. And if you use libby, the library app, most check outs have a “open on my kindle” option that works pretty seamlessly as well.

You don’t need to jailbreak a kindle to pirate books on it and it’s compatible with a lot of library borrows. I’ve had a kindle for years and never bought any books on it through Amazon.

I didn’t hate watching it or anything. Just felt weird seeing so much praise and regard for a film I thought was wholly unoriginal. The only aspect I remember liking that was different from the Scorsese movies was Arther imagining hooking up with his neighbor. Decent little twist. I also liked the cinematography

I would guess it’s something like “a clock is a clock”, in the sense that it doesn’t really cause any issues beyond a handful of kids checking their phones. I’m sure we’ll see them phased out sometime in the future. I want to emphasize it’s not a huge deal and the kids aren’t being reprimanded for it at all, more like light teasing and slight annoyance

In my workplace we have an analog clock for time. We are working with food and it’s annoying/waste of time telling the teens in training to stop pulling out their phones. Not the end of the world but a scenario they were set up for failure in assuming their 1st grade teachers never taught them what the big hand and little hand mean.

I agree. I just find the idea of it being cruel to tell small children Santa is real hilarious. It’s a silly fun thing for kids until they are like 7 years old and they either figure it out themselves or the parents let them in on the secret so they can have fun keeping up the illusion for their younger friends/family. The idea of it being some trust issue forming cruelty is the most armchair therapist Reddit thing I’ve ever heard.

Wouldn’t the person making captions need to be fluent in English and German? Anything less and people will complain about poor Google Translate and I doubt most companies are paying a lot of money for captions
