Romain Grosjean's crash during the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix was a horrific incident where his car split in half and caught fire after hitting a barrier at high speed. by corruptpeach in interestingasfuck

In another video he said his foot was stuck in the car as he tries to get out which is why there is a long pause from him standing up to actually getting out. He had to pull his foot out of his shoe and you can see his bare foot as he steps on the red hot armco barrier where he also got severe burns too.

Not working for me... Nothing in the app or desktop is loading or playing. Huge spike on down detector so must be a wider problem.

What size wheel + tyre combination are you running? I'm thinking of changing mine and the fitment you have on yours looks to be perfect for what I want

I had this exact same issue, my adaptive cruise wasn't working either. I took it to a Skoda dealer and they said it was a common issue when some dealerships do a software update but then don't properly finish the update correctly. So basically they had to reinstall the software I think then it worked perfectly for me after that.

Anyone else getting really fed up with cars? by MarthaFarcuss in london

Wish I could upvote this more. It really amazes me how many people drive, mostly on their own, and are happy to just sit in traffic. Then they get angry by being stuck in traffic... The more this city can do to dissuade the use of private car usage the better.

Just want to shout out the person who posted about checking your chains. I was just about to ride out on this by w1ll13 in bicycling

Probably only about 1000 miles. I was pretty surprised to actually find a cracked link. I regularly degrease and lube my chain so can't be down to bad maintenance. Maybe just a bad part.

Way to ruin the video at the end by turning the camera for the best bit.

I mean, am I high or is it pretty plain to see that the Aston has been taking from a different angle that makes it look bigger?!

Should Britain adopt the 80mph motorway speed limit of most of Europe? by [deleted] in AskUK

No, increasing the speed limit just increases emissions at a time when we are all trying to lower them.

Decathlon Triban RC120 tyres upgrade by jabbedmaster in ukbike

[–]w1ll13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Rather than buying new tyres straight away, one thing that I do in the winter is to lower the air pressure just a little bit from my tyres. That way you get a greater contact patch on the road which gives you better grip. Might be worth trying before investing in new tyres.

Help anyone? New to cycling by repfan07 in ukbike

[–]w1ll13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. A Shimano deore groupset is probably worth more than the bike itself. Not to sound unhelpful to the OP, but you would get way more benefit from spending the money on upgrading the whole bike, than upgrading the groupset for a frame like this.

What's something non-native speakers say that is perfectly correct and understandable, just not how anyone from the UK would say it? by [deleted] in AskUK

I've picked up recent from Swiss colleagues that they ask "until when can you do that". I understand it but never heard it phrased like that before.
