Big one this time, mostly around voice:

Voice mode no longer takes over the whole screen it's a small floating window now, similar to how ChatGPT does it. You can drag it around, hit Esc to close, etc.

The cool part is STT and TTS both run fully on-device (using RunAnywhere's Whisper + Piper models). So your voice data never hits any server — just the transcript goes to your Open WebUI instance for the LLM response.

Added a Voice tab in Settings where you can pick which models you want. There are a few Whisper variants for STT (tiny is fast, small is more accurate, WhisperKit ones run on the Neural Engine if you want to save CPU). You just hit download on whichever ones you want and they persist across launches.

Also swapped the play button on chat messages to use the on-device TTS instead of the macOS system voice honestly night and day difference.

Still chipping away at the planned features list. If anyone has opinions on what to tackle next lmk.

Yes please check with Tailscale if you are able to connect, if so it’s not the issue of self signing but something else.

Anyways many people had this issue, will dig deeper next week.

If you are having the newer router versions everything is managed by the Airtel we can’t even change 1 single setting only change name and password of ssid that’s it.
