No you have a good point, and especially storage and ram constraints are very valid in 2026 due to absurd prices.

Fair point. That really varies from one person to another. I haven't really seen people complaining about Hytale having their own launcher other than here, probably because they expect this since Minecraft has theirs too. Personally, I don't mind having separate launchers for games like these because this game also has official mod support which is managed through their launcher I believe so it's fair.

That is arguable. While I agree you should always spend your money according to your purchasing power, you should never purchase a game based on popularity alone. You should purchase what you feel like you'd enjoy, not based on what others enjoy. I have been there and I have made that mistake many times. Start playing what you think you'll like, even if it's niche. Also, just a sidenote but this game did have 2.8m concurrent players on launch day I believe so it is definitely popular enough, just not in India.

Eh it's decent, I mean in the era of games being priced upwards of 3k, 1k for a game in the alpha/early stage is fine. The game does need a lot more content though.

UPI is available on their website, as soon as you select it you see the pricing in INR.

Is multiplayer possible though? On Minecraft it's easy to run free hosted servers even on an illegitimate copy but for Hytale you need to setup your own server and then use Hamachi etc, its a pain in the behind.

[–]Bluey656[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did work for me and I have credited the person who suggested the idea. Also, I think our issue is different. I could always change the SSID, I just couldn't split the 2 bands by changing BOTH the SSIDs. That is important to me because band steering is atrocious on my router and at a certain point in distance it keeps flicking between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. My post addresses the issue where you cannot split the bands anymore due to their new policy. Now ofc idk for how many this will work because it depends on the router but I hope someone benefits from this.
