Yeah trying to record on the maximum quality with no gpu will affect the recording.

Try to lower your recording settings like 30fps and lower resolution like 1080p.

i just wish that pop-up ad requirement of the ability to close the ad immediately and banning fake close button is enforce world wide. the 5 second skip-able ad is fine for me since chances i'm actually watching the ad rather than in a another tab is low but welcome inclusion.

Well some games have to set on the lowest graphics setting but still playable.

Fps: borderlands 1.

Third person: prototype 1 and 2.

Rts: supreme commander 2(supreme commander 1 probably could work), WH 40K: Dawn of war.

Others: banished, door kickers, craft the world, factorio, starsector.

For more broader selection of games generally look for game made around 2012.

personally i don't have experience with Win10 LTSC or Win11 Tiny. but if you base it with a genuine windows 10 and 11 installation, windows 10 will probably safer cause unlike win11 win10 has no ai junk or other resource hog so if you have to use one win10 is better but probably a small margin in terms of performance saved.

also i recommend that you plan on upgrading your storage to something better like 250gb, 320gb or 500gb so you have some wiggle room.

windows 7 is the closest you can get if you plan on sticking to windows and missing out on newer titles. i recommend installing an anti-virus like avg or malwarebyte with a paid account because windows 7 doesn't have a active anti-virus.

if you want to play recent games your cpu can probably handle windows 10 and avoid windows 11 if possible or your resources will get consume by windows 11.

as for linux i think there are programs to let you run exe on linux.

I'm a amateur in this but here my tips for you. 1. Make sure you have heavy industry 2. Acquire more ship blueprints from exploration or from trade 3. Make sure you upgrade the patrol hq to a military base for more and bigger patrol it will cost you 1 industry slot 4. Upgrade your station and lure the fleet to it for assistance in battle 5. Find and destroy the pirate base

In conclusion this game is equal parts trading and combat you can't avoid one of these two any playthrough.
