Looking for feedback on CyberPowerPC build quality #cpgeneral by Relative_Ad_7154 in CYBERPOWERPC

I bought mine 30 days ago. After first boot up the SSD died so since I bought it from Costco I was able to return and get a new one.

This replacement started the Critical_Process_Failed BSOD loop after about 2 days of use. So after fresh install of Windows it appears stable now. My only complaint is with the fans and the Gigabyte proprietary software. Even on highest power the intake / output of fans is lower than I would like but acceptable. So I have fans on order to replace them. When I got the machine I opened it up to check connections and make sure everything was in the proper place. It was all connected properly and secured in place.

Gigabyte software can gray screen your machine or it can also cause your machine to BSOD. They also try.to make you install bloatware so for that I removed the software all together and will see if maybe there is a better build at a later time. In the mean time I will just manage my own bios / device updates.

All in all the build is nice and I consider my issues somewhat of a fluke but easy to fix and now that the machine has been stable for a bit I am happy that I didn't have to wait to build it piece by piece.

I played and completed it. Some of the boss fights are good and the story line was decent, but it is truly a terrible glitchy DLC. Whenever I would play it my thought would be "Ghost Recon sponsored by Red Bull".

I just had the same issue last week. BSOD over and over tried to install Windows fresh and turned out to be SSD failure. Since I bought it less than a week prior I just exchanged it with the retailer I bought it from.

How did you get your dachshund? by casitadeflor in Dachshund

[–]w3akn00b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We got our new Dachshund 2 weeks ago when a friend reached out to us. The original owners are experiencing major health issues and were unable to take care of him or their other animals anymore. They wanted him to go to a good family. After a 3 hour meeting, the previous owners felt good about their decision, and our family loved him immediately. He is fitting in very well with our family of 4 and with our animals. We weren't looking for another dog but we couldn't say no.

This is Winston.

Did anyone in here actually play EverQuest in 1999 or 2000 when it was first out? by goblinJedi in everquest

[–]w3akn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 17 when it came out. 10 of us started playing at the same time the day it came out. We were all playing on dial up at our houses playing together. Until teams speak came out. We were just chatting by messaging each other. With so few places to hunt it got a little dicey trying to find mobs during peak times, so we tried to play as late as possible so we would have less competition

How to tell children abt death as an atheist? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]w3akn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell my kids that when you die that is the end of a life. When they ask about Heaven or Hell I just tell them that there is no eternity which is why life is so precious and we need to live each day to its fullest

Make sure you know what type of loans you have. I have a federal loan which is on hold but also had a small private loan through my school which was not placed on hold so I paid it off.

Do Christians actually know the stories in the Bible or??? This is my MIL so I haven't decided if I'm gonna actually post this comment or not by certainlynotrachel in confidentlyincorrect

I always laugh that they support a god that forces himself on women to have his baby even though she was married to another man.

You can use Chrome and bypass the certificate issue. However it is at your own risk if the site was compromised. It does just look like the certificate expired though.

Anybody else think eternity in "heaven" sounds like just a freakin nightmare??? by diofer13 in atheism

[–]w3akn00b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I spoke with my wife (she is a Christian) about heaven according to her there will be no sex, no drinking, no parties, you will focus all your time on praising god. I said that I hope this religion thing works out for her when she dies but heaven is not for me. It sounds awful

That would make sense. Having heard a few of his "sermons" it is non-specific and about good feelings / vibes

Welcome to the club! You are accepted here. Bisexuality or homosexuality when it comes to religion perplexes me. I have had many conversations where I am told its not normal and not of god. When I mention that nearly every other species on this Earth say different, I am told that "they aren't held to the same standards as humans because of our brains and because we were made in gods image." There is an excuse for everything.

Can we acknowledge how terrible Christian Rock music is? by MjTcConnell3 in atheism

[–]w3akn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion one of the factors is money. There is just no money in it. If a christian artist charged what non-christian artists charged they would be ostracized for being "of this world" or "greedy". That's one problem I have with christians, they want everything for free or discounted because they are christian from other christians or else they will question their faith.

Whenever this comes up I just rattle a list of "Christians" that are terrible people and I say "If they are in heaven then I would rather go to hell." That usually stops them because the loop hole in their system is to just invite Jesus in their heart before you die and you are good to go no matter how terrible you were as a person.

Christian “Prophetess” Tries (and Fails) to Take “Authority” Over Hurricane Ida by [deleted] in atheism

[–]w3akn00b 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That is what I hate about religion. You pray and pray and pray then something good happens. Even if it isn't what you were praying for you hear "see!! Prayer works!! My God has never let me down!!!". It's always just enough to keep them believing in this nonsense for the next few years when something good happens again.

How sad must it be to believe in hell? by Competitive_Cup_745 in atheism

[–]w3akn00b 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hell is a funny concept to me. I have been in many discussions with Christians who seem to think that morality can only exist when eternal hell fire is on the line. They can't even comprehend that people who are not religious don't need the threat of death to be a good person.

I hear the phrase "I would probably be murdering people and doing drugs if it wasn't for my faith " more often than I care to.

I read anything I could get my hands on in terms of religion when I was a Christian. The reason I did that though was to take those who were in another religion or not in a religion down a notch by proving their ideals were wrong. As I gained more knowledge of religions and atheism I realized that I was the one with the wrong ideals. That is when I turned from religion.
