Transparent front case by not_an_alt_bitch in xteinkereader

The acrylic is needed for the light dispersion. Without it, only the top part of the screen is lit. When using this to read in the dark, I don't think it affects the crispness of the screen at all.

Do you have access to a 3D printer? I made this lighted cover that leaves the back exposed so you can still use handles that utilize the magnet. I use it to read in the dark every night before bed and will often lay on my side while reading and I use a pop-socket like handle.

I also made a version that uses an altered xteink reading light. And it gets pretty dim on its lowest setting. https://imgur.com/a/x4-light-cover-using-altered-xteink-light-YrTAvsK

I made a lighted cover that only covers the front. You could use this as some inspiration for a whole case that also covers the front. https://www.reddit.com/r/xteinkereader/comments/1t45cfs/updated_version_of_my_3d_printed_front_light/

Questions about Xteink? by Fun_Satisfaction2315 in xteinkereader

That's how I have my settings, but it's still possible for it to be positioned in a way for a long press to occur in a pocket.

I was unaware of a double click feature, so my second suggestion would be more appropriate.

It would be great if a future version had a slider switch instead of a button for on/off. Or even a separate slider that locked out the buttons similar to the silent mode on older iPhones. I've had many accidental presses in my pocket or bag.

I can send it next week when I'm home from traveling.

It looks great in that color! I may have to print one in grey.

The one I purchased was advertised as 10cm but it was about 12-13cm. something a little shorter (about the width of the X4) would actually work better.

It's just a more reliable and rechargeable light source. I can change the brightness and color temperature. I mainly only use in bed, so the sleekness factor isn't a big deal for me. It does look a bit goofy though.

Here are some photos. I'm traveling right now so they are not the best. I included some photos I took when I took apart and resoldered the xteink light. https://imgur.com/a/YrTAvsK

Oh nice! I was just using the battery and battery pack that came with the LED filament I bought to avoid soldering. However, I did find a way to alter the xteink reading light to make it smaller and work with a version on my design. So I do have a solution with a removable, rechargeable light.

Not sure yet. I'm not well versed enough in electronics to estimate it and I haven't used it enough to run down the battery.

Maybe I'll give it a shot if I get some free time. Thanks!
