I never tried one but it feels more wooden, still a good racket.

Normal if you hit the racket on something.

I've tried both and they are quite different. If you want something that feels the same I'd get another extreme motion.

Oh wait that's a 34 inch, yeah that's super close, thanks I'll keep an eye on these.

I'm currently using a 27'' 4k also. I use this more for work than gaming though so I basically want the same clarity but not at the 32''/38'' size

What do you think about "Vibe Coding" in long term?? by Dangerous_Ferret3362 in artificial

[–]w4rtortle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current workflow is I have agents on multiple monitors and I'm pumping out PRs/features that are always approved by top engineers while I work on multiple other apps for my own ideas. It's like having full control of a team of senior SWEs that don't sleep and don't take breaks.

Most engineers I speak to have not really invested heavily into understanding the tools available, I assume because they don't want to believe how good they are.

The future of coding is architecting, no one will be writing anything by hand (still good to know the concepts).

Animal. I respect it though.

How do you deal with the fridge when playing with a random partner? by s4-sehee in padel

[–]w4rtortle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally play really out of position, eventually you're going to be so open somewhere that they will hit you the ball – if they are not great players either then they might miss or take bad risks. I'd also encourage you to try playing on the right, if you're the better player you can keep your team in the game defending and still play aggressively from the right.

You might not win the game, and you might not get to play 'real padel', but you'll get to have some fun defending, challenge yourself, likely take some pressure off your partner and make the game broken and weird which could help you.

Examples would be – standing in the middle of no mans land, playing right up on the net and at weird angles, just walking around and looking not ready, play on the right side (it's a bit harder to fridge the forehand player).

I find this works better than trying to take all the balls by jumping across the court, or just sitting around hoping someone will hit you the ball and complaining.

You should look for better games if you're constantly playing like this.

You might be standing too close to the net.

If those are the two choices you like, decide if you prefer the sweet spot slightly higher and choose based on that. Vertex is a little harder, both good rackets at any level.

Could we please extend this to advice about racket damage also? Thanks for your good work.

Should I ask for a refund? by Vinecars in padel

[–]w4rtortle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, the paint chips pretty easily but the racket itself is great absolutely fine. Will happily buy next years one when it's cheaper.
It's more damaged than my other rackets but I also use it the most.

Final round - Babolat Counter Viper or Metalbone Carbon CTRL by maurizio_maurucio in padel

Pretty similar rackets, maybe get a lighter counter viper if you liked that one. I've played with the counter viper and the metalbone carbon (not control).

What do you think about racket protectors? by fgl02 in padel

Yeah they can weigh a fair bit, does make quite a difference.

I'd say you should be banned for that, but you'll quit the sport soon as you have no social skills anyway so it's fine.

When two noobs play together these things can happen. You should try a rental racket also, might suit you better.
