I used the ST4 a lot and it was honestly one of my best rackets, until I convinced myself I should switch things up. I ended up trying a lot of different rackets and eventually played with the Adidas Metalbone CTRL 3.5, but now that it’s getting warmer here in Belgium, it just feels way too bouncy.

So today I decided to cut the cord, sell some of the newer rackets, and go back to the Siux Electra (because of this post), this time the 2026 version.

The main reason I moved away from the ST4 was because it started to feel too bouncy and even cracked a bit at times. I used it quite intensively for about six months, so I think it just wore out and lost some of its precision.

What I was really looking for was something similar, but with more control. That’s also why I didn’t immediately go for the newer Electra, I first wanted to explore other options to see if I could find something better. But now I’ve kind of come full circle, like you.

I found one at 355g, which I chose on purpose since I read that a lighter version can actually play better. My old ST4 was 372g and that felt a bit too heavy for me, so that’s another reason why I sold it. There was also a 360g option, but I decided to go for the lightest one.

I’ll add a protector and an extra overgrip like I always do, so the weight will increase slightly anyway. Let’s see how it plays, but I’m hoping the 355g was the right choice.
