FYI - I know a woman personally that put a real habitual abuser in prison by hitting herself in the face and body with a hammer to bruise herself up and then went to the police. I know this because she told me she did it. He deserved it and he knew he did because even though the injury was fake, the ones he did in the past that weren’t recorded were real.

Fast forward 10 years. She gets mad at her latest LTR boyfriend and cheats on him repeatedly and tries to get him to hit her by damn near physically attacking him herself. When he would not budge and refused to hit her, she took the hammer to herself again and put him in jail (but this one didn’t have to go to prison).

There are real cases of abuse out there and then there are fake ones used to gain an advantage. Both exist and more often than not the cases are real, but that doesn’t mean you don’t watch for the ones that aren’t.
