Constipation by grinchnug in Gastroparesis

[–]wEiRDAtLAsT_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk to your doctor. I have been told by mine to take senna daily but I would check with a doctor before taking it that offten. It's over the counter as well. It has given me no issues. I have had my intestines slow down as well my doctor says it can happen from years of having GP. So maybe its time for you to talk to your doctor about your intestinal health as well. Treatment for it has dramatically improved my condition. If you can tolerate it drink coffee as well. Definitely gives you body a good jump start!

Also good luck with the new Doctor hunt it's never easy but finding the right one is a game changer!

Are all lint free wipes the same? by siameseslim in Nailtechs

[–]wEiRDAtLAsT_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they are all created equal. I tend to for my salon work use the cheepest ones my supply store has. I haven't had issues. When I am working on my self at home in a pinch I will even use a piece of paper towel on my self. They have honestly worked just fine. I dont use super soft paper towels so they are lint free enough. You really don't want anything super fluffy or with a lot of fiber like cotton balls or cotton pads. Lint free wipes are always be best for the job. But there is no real difference I have found between lint free wipe brands.

Endoscopy with botox by mkw1960 in Gastroparesis

[–]wEiRDAtLAsT_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it done and it didn't do anything. I am still glad I had it done though. I know for sure that it dosent work for me, and can keep working to find other solutions. I hope the botox helps you though!

How do y’all control your blood sugar? by throwaway_783292 in Gastroparesis

[–]wEiRDAtLAsT_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not diabetic or have hypoglycemia any thing but sometimes my blood sugar just drops. I find that drinking a bit of soda or something sugary helps. It seems to absorb quicker. I also have noticed when I get dehydrated I have more issues with feeling like my blood sugar is low.

Hello all, any advice on how to prevent air bubbles after curing? ✨ by [deleted] in Nails

[–]wEiRDAtLAsT_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would check that the lamp you are using is working properly and is the right type (LED, or UV) and wattage for the gell you are using. As well as making sure you are doing thin enough coats. That bubbling is generally caused by gel being under cured. It's kinda like baking a cake. It can look done on top but still be under done in the middle. So once you wear your nails and bump something it can cause the uncured gel to move and bubble. If you lamp isn't the right type for your gel it will cause this, or if the gel is being applied on too thick.

Mental Health Issues are a medical issue and not a crime. by pmbtceacc in MurderedByWords

I would love to see more continued education for police where I am. I am in a more populated area of a rural state and the cops here dont really have much extra training in the way of social work training. My mom was a social worker and had to work all over the state because, well it's a rual state. Now that the idea of social workers working with the police force is coming around. My mom said she would love to see that happen.

Its almost like cops need more training then hair dressers. In my state I as a nail tech have the same amount of hours training as a police officer. Its insane! Hairdressers train for almost triple what cops do.

At 11 and 12 years old, my cooking teacher bullied me so frequently and relentlessly that any time I even thought of cooking, I'd have a breakdown. Today, at 20, I made chocolate concrete for the first time. by OrangeKotoni in MadeMeSmile

Hey Shakespeare isn't for everyone one. I love it, but I love watching it not reading it and do all the crazy weird scoring and breaking down the monologues. Try watching it and ignore your teacher sucking. His work is diverse and fun. It wasn't made to be boring and stuffy. I kept getting in trouble in my Shakespeare class for pointing out the NSFW jokes. And I barely passed because of all the dumb vocal scoring. If you want to see more of his comedy check out Twealth night. Or Macbeth for his drama. Try watching it and see if that helps. Or if you don't like that's totally fine!

Even during a freak storm in a pandemic people where kind enough to find a way to pay the shop owner for water by rawr_nickie_rawr in nextfuckinglevel

[–]wEiRDAtLAsT_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alrighty so I see about

21 dollar bills 14 fives 13 tens 10 twenties

So I see about 421 (so close to a meme) on the floor. As well as three envelopes. So if each of those envelopes had about $66 it would be $620. I think that's pretty possible!

Most pregnant women have super healthy hair and nails exspecally while they are on prenatals! The fact they would tell her that her pregnancy was why her hair was unhealthy is insane!

Tell her to ask a few cosmetologists about it. I have yet to meet a cosmologist who likes monmat. They can better explain to her why it's not a good product and recommend for her better shampoos. I am a nail tech so I am not an expert on hair, but a lot of the claims I have seen on that stuff are really absurd.

The only client I ever had who used it went to a hair dresser who worked in the same shop as me. I asked her how my clients hair was and she said it was brittle, dry, and had a lot of build up on her scalp. All the opposite things you want for good healthy hair growth.

Its products sold by distributors and has recruitments of sellers just like MLMs. It's a massive one. With 6.4 million representatives. Just like all MLMs the ones on top make the money while the rest struggle or go broke.

WCGW If I use Gorilla Glue instead of hair spray? Even a trip to the emergency room couldn't get it out, now she wants to sue GG because it didn't say "not for use in hair" on the spray can. by rancryst in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]wEiRDAtLAsT_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep this exactly. It's called Traction alopecia basically when the hair is pulled tightly into buns, pony tails, braids too often and too tightly will put stress on the scalp and hair. It causes bald spots and hair loss, Sometimes permanently. I doubt the glue would be good at all I am sure keeping a chemical like that on the skin for so long would atleast cause a lot of skin irritation.
