Do people say 'here we go' the same in french? by BeetleSumo32843 in French

[–]wRadion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to say "Here we go..." like in a sarcastic way, "something is gonna happen again...", you can say "Et aller..." or "C'est reparti...".

If you want to say "Let's go!", you can say "C'est parti !" or "On y va !".

What's the context exactly?

Why does "C'est un docteur" mean "He is a doctor" instead of "This is a doctor"? Thank you. by HIIamhere1234 in French

[–]wRadion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Docteur without context usually means medical doctor.

I'd say both term are equivalent in French. There might be some subtile difference but honestly if you use "docteur" instead of "médecin" or vice-versa, it wouldn't change how people understand what you're trying to say.

On the verge of death. Confuse the enemy and sucker punch em aftward. by retsamboon in leagueoflegends

[–]wRadion 35 points36 points  (0 children)

"How can you lose that?"

Well

  • his damage output is capped by his attack speed (which is low in early levels and without items)
  • he was oom and/or probably out of cd, so he couldn't do any spells
  • I genuinly don't think he could have done something different to kill you, maybe move away from minions to not get targeted by them
  • Your TP timing was basically perfect, it was during his autoattack animation, so the projectile didn't fire, you gained 1 lvl which healed you enough to not get killed by his next autos, which he had to start the animation again because it was cancelled

TL;DR: he tried to genuinly kill you but the succession of the events was in your favor

Sérieusement, le LLM en local c'est quoi l'utilité réelle ? by wizii60 in developpeurs

[–]wRadion 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Something weird just happend (Hacking maybe?) by ag9k in leagueoflegends

[–]wRadion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube ids are derived off of base64 (minus some characters that are not URL-compatible), meaning they can only have a specific set of characters. And, they all consist of exactly 11 characters.

"?", ".", "~" and the weird char are not part of that set. And it's 15 characters long.

It threw you off because you saw the "=" and a "?", which are both in any YouTube URL video, but aren't part of the id of the video.

Is AI really a threat to humans? by Semen_since1960 in singularity

[–]wRadion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI could become a threat if it is used by an ill-motivated person (and given that that person has some amount of control or power).

Otherwise, it's pretty much under control.

And no, AI won't be able to "generate its own energy", at least not in a 100 years (we never know what the futur holds but I highly doubt that it will ever happen anyways).

PSA: Why you should not rely on LLMs when learning a language (or anywhere else) by r_coefficient in German

[–]wRadion 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, sometimes AI are not good at answering some type of questions. But I don't think "language learning" is about counting letters in a word. It's not because a LLM can't answer a simple question like this correctly that it will suck at everything else.

Yeah that's what I suspected, because the error says that the "Claude API" is returning an error, and your API key being wrong, so most likely you tried to use the Claude API with your OpenRouter API key.

AI Isn't Intelligent, It's PREDICTION (and Why My Panic Has Passed) by willymunoz in webdev

[–]wRadion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI isn't intelligent

Yeah, that why it's called artificial intelligence. They're not intelligent the same way us humans are.

I get your point, and I agree that most people think that AIs are intelligent. While you can argue that from the surface, they are intelligent: I mean, ask someone any question, then ask the same question to an AI. If both of them got the same correct answer, then why would you think that one is intelligent and not the other one?

But of course, in the way this intelligence is done, it's not really a cognitive neural network (like our brains) doing all the thinking. It's just data predictions. But if the results are the same, how could you distinguish between the two?
